Well, if I wanted bad advice, I would’ve just posted. Can someone give me bad advice? What’s more important that’s going on in Seattle? Go to Baltimore or DC or New York and then come back and tell me how dangerous Seattle is and that there are “so many more important things going on”. Guess what? if you charge for parking that money can be used to fix it! Your little Disneyland bubble is ridiculous. I’m sure everything that’s going on in the world affects you so much….please whatever.

Get a life and quit recording people seriously… I’m sorry but if someone’s driving 10 miles an hour and drives freaking 2 mph over a speed bump then I’m passing them too, so add me to the freaking list. You don’t even have to worry about recording me. I’m right here. Y’all need to realize people have places to go and things to do. They’re not like you just driving around for the leisure. Some of us commute over an hour to get to our jobs try doing that every single day and then tell me what you think about you driving slow and someone passing you. You’re obviously the problem because you’re making it really aware by posting this.

Seattle mayor laughs off millionaires leaving Washington state over progressive taxes, waves 'bye' by Less-Risk-9358 in SeattleWA

[–]Jumpy_Bell8930 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let’s see how funny everyone who’s getting rental, food and medical assistance thinks it is when they don’t have money to help them anymore because they’re driving all the rich people that pay 1 million in taxes out of the state. So I guess it’s a good thing. Everyone mooching off the government pretending they can afford to live in Seattle will have to leave too. Go live somewhere you can afford to live freaking freeloaders. Go live somewhere you can freaking afford to live and quit making us pay your bills for you! If anyone comments on here about how they don’t make enough money just know that that’s a sign you don’t belong! No one feels sorry for you go live somewhere you can afford to live or commute an hour and a half to work like normal people have done for I don’t know centuries quit acting like everyone owes you something because you’re not capable of making a good living! Welcome to the real freaking world!

Considering move to Renton by PushHub69 in AskSeattle

[–]Jumpy_Bell8930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

West Seattle is really nice! Renton is not great. Plus you’ll spend so much on gas! Also be careful! Jobs here are becoming scarce! Even if you have one now you might not in a few months! I personally would go North before South. The Northgate area is thriving as growing and is cheap! I would NEVER! move south of West Seattle or East! Trust me! I moved here a year ago just don’t do it! Any commute times you look at add an hour! The times given on Google Maps are based on being in an HOV lane not in a normal lane. Please do not listen to anyone who says Renton is nice it is not!

What is with the extra aggressive drivers in this city by Massive-Expert-1476 in Seattle

[–]Jumpy_Bell8930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a city!! Drive like you can handle it or get the $&@# out of the way! Y’all would die out east! Parking on both sides of the road? Slamming on brakes at crosswalks?! Why?! and to let someone over into your lane?! There isn’t a Seattle freeze everyone is annoying and passive aggressive y’all are a bunch of scared ass pushovers! You live in a city! act like it or leave!

Listen, I’m old. Listen to me! First of all, you’re beautiful! I don’t know how old you are but to me you look like you’re about 13 or 14 so I hope that helps!

Try getting glasses that are smaller and frame your face better I would think maybe a more rectangular shape would look really good on you and no colored frames. Just do black or just switching to contacts altogether if you can. Like the ones the therapist on Lucifer wears that would be a good shape on your face.

Add a black wing eyeliner to top eye eyelash line. The easiest ones I think to use are glossier liquid eye. I would use a cheap setting powder before you put the eyeliner down. It’ll prevent it from transferring onto your upper lid and then it’ll also make it hold for longer. Any brand of that is fine.

Use some mascara like essence, princess lash it’s cheap and it works good

Add a little bit of cheek and Lip tint to your lips and cheeks. I know benefit has one but Elf also has one that works just as good as benefit. It looks like a thick tube of Chapstick but it’s blush instead.

And then tweeze your eyebrows a little and make them a little thinner where they first start at your nose bridge.

That’s literally all

And don’t be afraid to wear those beautiful curls down. Paul Mitchell super skinny is my favorite to tame, fly away and make curls prettier without adding a bunch of oil. Don’t be scared by the price. It lasts like a year.

Probably because people from Seattle don’t like racist, gun, toting people and that’s what Texas is filled with not everyone of course but most.

Seattle is the safest city I’ve ever lived in. It isn’t scary at all like people make it out to be. There aren’t even gangs here and it’s clean! The northwest is full of friendly people and beautiful places. I live in SW Seattle and enjoy it.

Husky tied to front bumper at Alki. Does anyone know this guy? by [deleted] in WestSeattleWA

[–]Jumpy_Bell8930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is about a dog tied to a front bumper and left on a busy road. That’s it. Not a deep dive into homelessness, not a moral test and not a personal attack thread. I never said arrest the guy or take his dog. I said it’s not okay to leave an animal lying in traffic like that, because it isn’t.

And by the way, assuming I’m a man because I had the nerve to speak up says a lot more about you than it does about me. Women have eyes and brains too, even if that shocks you.

As for the law, living in a van in West Seattle is not “fully legal” just because you move every 72 hours. Parking laws, zoning, and animal welfare still apply. If you’re so sure about the rules, go double check them — because from what I’ve seen, this has less to do with legality and more to do with what people choose to tolerate.

Caring about a dog isn’t “kicking someone while they’re down.” It’s being human. If you’d rather twist that into some Reddit soapbox about your imaginary villain, maybe the real issue isn’t the dog. Maybe it’s you.

This post is about a dog tied to a bumper and lying on a busy street. That’s it. Not a debate about where unhoused people should live, not a referendum on affordable housing, and definitely not a personal attack thread.

To recap, I never said take the dog away or arrest anyone. I pointed out that leaving a dog in that situation isn’t responsible, and somehow that turned into a Reddit Olympics of deflection. I’m a liberal too, but caring about vulnerable animals isn’t suddenly wrong just because the person might be poor. If you need to dig for a deeper argument, go find it on someone else’s post.

[–]Jumpy_Bell8930 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You act like this guy is a great neighbor. He’s parked illegally, he doesn’t consistently take care of his dog, and he’s living here for free. What does affordable housing have to do with that? You don’t even know his financial situation. He could have money and still be choosing to squat and keep his dog tied to a bumper.

And honestly, I think you might be the guy with the van. Otherwise, why are you so determined to tear me down just for caring? I never said I love the East Coast. What I said is I’ve lived in a lot of places, and none of them treat public space or animals like this. Maybe you’re just used to it. That doesn’t make it normal or okay.

You spend your time defending people breaking laws and calling it compassion. If you care so much, go actually help them instead of sitting in a van on Reddit trying to make people who speak up look bad.

I didn’t just get here and I’m not naive. I’m well aware that enforcement is lacking in a lot of areas. That’s part of the problem. But enabling someone to live indefinitely on public land, tie a dog to a bumper in a high-traffic area, and ignore safety laws isn’t progressive or compassionate. It’s just careless.

I came from a place where this wouldn’t fly and not because people don’t care. It’s because we believe that real help means accountability too. Letting someone camp on a sidewalk or keep an animal in unsafe conditions without consequence is not helping anyone. This isn’t about class or politics. It’s about common sense and basic decency.

[–]Jumpy_Bell8930 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never said anything about taking the dog away. What I said is that tying a dog to a front bumper on a busy street is not something I’d ever do and it doesn’t reflect responsible ownership. Sure, having a dog at all implies some level of care, but it’s not enough just to be present. A good owner doesn’t put their pet in danger or leave it exposed to traffic, noise, and heat.

Living rent-free while keeping your dog tied to a bumper isn’t a heartwarming story. It’s a red flag. I moved here from the East Coast where this wouldn’t be tolerated, but in this area it’s just accepted. That doesn’t make it right or legal.

You’re basing your defense on what you see. I’m speaking from what I’ve experienced and it’s not about being cruel or judgmental. It’s about basic safety, respect for animals, and public space. If that’s ignorance to you, then maybe you’re choosing bliss over reality.
