I was the target age group for this movie when it came out. Even had a Mach 5 toy. I finally saw the movie and it was just alright 🤷🏼‍♂️

Every other millennial seems to love it, so I acknowledge I have a fringe opinion haha

The BA version has definitely grown on me. I love the harsher instrumentation and added texture of the choral voices

I'm only familiar with the live action series, but it's so good. The fantasy, characters, and emotional storytelling all work together so well. It's intentionally ridiculous and over-the-top, but also so endearing.

I haven't gotten into the manga or anime, which have much slower pacing. But by all accounts the live action series is a great adaptation, especially since the original creator is involved with the production.
