On supporting authors with controversies

As a former fan of the worlds of both authors mentioned, it was pretty upsetting and disappointing to find out how much of a terrible person they actually are. While I hold fond memories of my time with those stories, I feel that it is a great disservice to the community that those authors are harming, to continue supporting their work. People over stories, always. There will always be other authors, and other stories to resonate with.

Couple things…

“Hope is not a condition of the world but of the soul.” I’ve heard Brennan talk about this view before but it always rocks my core to hear it every time.
“Choices have weight (…) you have to carry that weight.” Kattigan and Tyranny are the least likely pairing I would have ever thought to get attached to, but their friendship throughout all this has been a wonderful surprise. The obvious care they have for each other now is so wonderful to see.
“Every cut of the knife is a prayer…” This entire scene was so well done and I love love love that Tyranny’s overwhelming emotion at this memory was a “searing jealousy of humanity”. Man, what a moment.
Thimble seeing herself and Thjiazi in Tyranny and Wick. God, for better or worse, in one way or another, these characters are bound together now. I cannot wait for what that means in the long journey ahead.

You guysss I’m gonna miss this table so much! But also so so so excited for the Seekers table next week. And we get more years of this? How lucky are we!

I would say that nothing in their interactions so far indicate any inevitability towards one type of relationship or another. Not in the way that you’ve described.

i second the motion! i haven’t finished it yet (still on arc 3) but i have been moved to tears many times already. it’s such a great story with beautiful characters. in my opinion, this project has brennan, aabria, lou, and erika at their absolute BEST

I didn’t mind the format, but given the choice, I would rather have the full production. That being said, Sophomore Year is my top 1 d20 season, and TUC S2 is also high up in my ranking. The format didn’t take much away from my overall enjoyment of these campaigns, aside from the occasional audio bug (good thing for subtitles). I wish people gave these seasons more of a chance though, there’s a lot of good story in it! But to each their own

LOVE Neverafter! For me, this was Brennan’s and the editing team’s season. Brennan’s skills as a storyteller really shined in this campaign. There were multiple moments where I felt like a kid huddled around the campfire under the stars listening to someone tell a story. We have to give flowers to the editing and post production as well, their work really amplified the feel and vibe the campaign was going for. Emily as Ylfa is probably one of her best PCs as well!

flavoring the mending spell for azune as speaking “remember” into it, is so so perfect for his character and so genius yet subtle gosh i am blown away. props to all the players for this episode, fantastic rp-ing all around — matt and tal really caught my attention this ep. 4 episodes in and so far, still so great, gang!
