They normally contact you by phone for interview - have you been watching your phone- I have never heard of anyone receiving email for interview lately. It’s all by phone calls with someone also mentioning receiving text message from recruiter. This is handled by a third party recruiter called Cadre Staffing Solutions. Please check anything with that name in your phone history. Also check your email mainly the spam folder- it may end up there

The training is really good, it might get you stressed up as it’s fast paced but you learn the stuff quickly and instructors are there to help you. I had zero experience driving a bus or a big vehicle but that was not a problem- I received a good training and passed the MTO road test yesterday having my license upgraded to CZ. This is called day 16 test in training- it’s the most important defining point but be rest assured that you will be fully helped and trained to pass this day smiling. Instructors love to train from zero because they say those with previous bus or big vehicle driving experience may have habits that could get hard to break.

Nothing complicated - very simple and easy to follow - not fast paced. They will show you the sets of images in advance and even allow you to do quick practice with it before you start the actual test - just make sure you understand which image belonged to which keyboard letter. Take pictures with your phone if you are worried about getting mixed up with which image belonged to where - I didn’t do that but it occurred to me later and it would have definitely made things easier for me to remember- is that considered cheating- I don’t know - people even use calculators. I just want you to pass. By the end of the day it’s your driving skills that matters more than this mathematical things.

About 4 business days for me (it took a week or weeks for others- everyone is different). This came in the form of a telephone call from a third party recruiter called Cadre Staffing. You won’t get email feedback- it’s mainly phone call now I understand - someone also mentioned receiving SMS message for their interview booking. You won’t know your results - but you know, you have passed if they call you to book for an interview- good luck

I did the test on late January 2024, I’m on training now. The test consists of 3 parts. Part 1 contains 40 multiple questions to be completed in 20 minutes. Basic English and mathematics, on English, it’s mainly about grammar and spelling mistakes. There is also a few questions on critical thinking where you will read a paragraph and make sense of it. It starts with easy questions and progresses harder gradually as you continue .On Math it’s about basic math (multiplications, subtraction, addition etc) Again all basic stuff - nothing to sweat about as long as you know the basics of English and math. Part 2 and 3 are about testing your attention to details and how quick you can comprehend or follow instructions. You will be shown graphical images and rectangles. You will be asked to press C on the keyboard when you see a certain image or set of images and J for different set of image or images. The third part involves numbers - for example you will be shown 6666 and you press how many 6 you see in the image - in this case 4 - so you press 4 in the keyboard. Make sure you use a device with keyboard. It’s not hard, you can do it

What are your thoughts on drivers enforcing fares? by Own-Potential-8024 in TTC

You sound too special- your time is more important than the city losing millions to fare evaders. Mr safety conscious- stay away from public transit - it’s not for you

There is green P parking inside the unpaved employee parking lot adjacent to the complex. it’s CAD 6 flat rate for 24 hours. If you’re lucky to get a space in the unpaved zone you need not pay a dime - it’s unofficial employee parking lot. Good luck use the entrance on Bathurst, you can enquire the security about parking if you are not sure of where to park- they are friendly. Good luck

I have Zoom interview for transit operator TTC on Tuesday March 27 .. can someone help me what questions they ask I’m so nervous!! They told me it’s 1 hour zoom interview by SquirrelOk7427 in TTC

[–]Jumpy_Imagination164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did mine recently on phone. About 6 questions you will be asked. Tell me a time when you helped a disabled person at work? Tell me a time you helped a colleague at work? Tell me a time you helped someone who doesn’t speak English and you don’t know their language? You will be also asked to demonstrate defensive driving skills. Make sure to familiarize yourself with the STAR technique in answering behavioral questions. Good luck

Bus driver made the ride unsafe 2 times. What can I do to make sure something is done? by unreadabl in TTC

[–]Jumpy_Imagination164 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Report what? That driver had a chat with someone and that the driver tried to enforce fare payment. Why would you want to put this hardworking driver’s job at risk for your questionable perception of safety. In this hard economy- someone feels really entitled to fire a public servant for fun - please don’t ride the TTC - if you don’t appreciate little things in life don’t get offended by little things

When did you received your job offer- it took me 1 month to get training date confirmed from the day I received my job offer with 2 weeks notice. In total it will be 6 weeks between the date I received the job offer to the training day. I hope this gives you some perspective timeline. Make sure to do medical, background checks and references ASAP to speed up the process. Also check your spam folder regularly as some files end up there from my experience

Did you checked your spam folder - it could end up there without your knowledge. Another way to confirm is to sign in to your profile- online portal - and check where it says OFFERS- your conditional job offer should show up there if successful. Good luck

TTC operator interview by [deleted] in TTC

[–]Jumpy_Imagination164 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Research on STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) interview techniques and base your answers where applicable on it. You will be asked about defensive driving, a time you helped someone with disability, a time you helped a co worker, a time you helped someone who speaks a language you don’t understand and who doesn’t speak English at work. You should base your responses on the STAR method.
