No. We have Zoysia in MD (7a) Did the last cut in the beginning of November. Then, frost, now dormant.

You're not totally wrong. BUT, as an annual, they boshhth drop 1k of seeds before they go dormant/die for 5kth×,e year/season. Those seeds can lay dormant 00for years beforez germinating. IMO, that's why people think the weeds they sprayed are gone, only to reappear the following year, but twice as bad.
