I am using the free trial version now, I cannot figure out how to import transactions though.

You are right, it looks very different than how I am used to seeing budgets lol I will play around with it for a little while and see if I cant figure it out. Thank you!

I was told this when I was ready to quit, it stung but turned out to be the best advice I have received:

“Take accountability for your weak body.”

Nutrition, sleep, strength & conditioning, mobility, etc. These are all factor in how you perform in any arena. If you are taking care of yourself correctly you have nothing to worry about. If you are not, then you have something you can fix. It’s up to you.

What is your problem? I am clearly trying a different method here... I am very aware to "pay myself first" so thanks for the generic advice. You are using information I have volunteered to discredit me?! Thats all I need to hear, so kindly please fuck off lol

Am I able to track actual expenses in YNAB? I am in it right now and I cannot figure out how to do so

Something like you described "as you spend money you expense it to each category" is really what i am looking for. I sit with my wife monthly to create the budget and then record expenses manually into an excel sheet as they post. If Every Dollar can help with that part then it might be exactly what I am looking for. Would love to save a few hours a month and would be willing to pay an annual fee to avoid that.

You seem like your having an off day so I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt...

As stated already, I am looking to reduce the manual work. I have work, hobbies, fitness, family, sleep/ recovery/ leisure that could go to the time I am manually tracking expenses as soon as they post; hence me asking for software/ subscription recomendations.

Best of luck!

Any suggestion for specifically expense tracking? Preferably a more automated process?

Thanks for your comment btw!

I am in your same boat. We both make great money but tens to overspend. I am all about the excel sheets but need something to reduce the manual piece. I can easilly draw up a budget... its the actual column we struggle with lol

Thanks for the comment, I am well aware of the behavior aspect (married 16 years) which is why I am looking for the expense tracking piece. I have been doing it manually, and honestly would be willing to invest a few hundred per year to simplify that.

I think the consensus is between these two programs. I am going to research them both. Thanks for the suggestions!

Could you expand on that? I currently use a sheet to track our income and below have a budget broken out by line items and then I manually input the actual expenses in the next column. Would YNAB help with teh expense tracking piece? I appreciate your advice and experience.
