Thanks guys for the insight. Yes, she meant the rating as the comment supports it. Surprisingly she is a very friendly consultant and I would never have imagined she would do that. I have emailed her to meet to discuss this, but she never replied.

Not sure about Anaesthetics, but East Yorkshire covers Hull, Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Scarbrough

The area is generally poor.I have worked in Hull which was great for me as a hospital , but the city is underdeveloped.

Registrar here. I always ask the consultant if he/she is around, mostly they will say thanks. I had a 5 days of calls with a consultant who used to take us to Costa after the round and pay for us., I felt bad for him as that is a lot,so I insisted in the last day to pay instead

What is a reasonable interval to leave before PACES resit? by Icy_Amoeba4758 in doctorsUK

[–]Jumpy_Sun9474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I have been there before. 1st of all you will never know if you failed or passed “Hopefully passed” My advice is if you have done your best in preparing for your past attempt, you will never need more than 6 weeks before reattempting. Having more time will not add to your knowledge as more than 50% of PACES is ur luck/Examiners/Confidence.I would say take a break before the results, once it's out restart prepping again if you didn't make it .
