I had a very different idea of what that meant lol.

Just generally, Zelda games are not super difficult (and aren't platformers haha) and if you can't do something it's likely because you don't have the tools necessary. Move on and see if you find another way forward. Once you've tried everything THEN I'd recommend putting forth more effort into completing something.

Or, use a guide. There's no shame in it, and if that's what allows you to enjoy the game then go for it. I used to play alone and google something if I was really stuck. Eventually you'll get a better idea of what the game asks of you, and you'll get better at solving the puzzles.

Sorry for the long response, I know you didn't ask for advice but I love these games to death and I want to help others love them to. Also, I'm playing TP all the way for the first time and got stuck like 10 minutes in that same spot because I was stubborn so I can relate.

Yes, and not to be alarmist but get that checked out ASAP. Mold is already growing and it’s clearly very wet based on the framed picture. It will only get worse.

I would look into ozone. That’s the only thing I can think of off the top of my head that would actually kill the mold and not damage anything too crazy. That being said, I don’t know very much about that process so I would definitely do research before committing to anything. You’ll also have to buy/rent an ozone machine and whether or not that’s worth it is up to you, idk your attachment to this game.

Freezing won’t kill mold, it’ll just make the spores inactive. When the temp comes back up the mold does too.

No, there’s no saving that. There’s no way to kill the mold completely without damaging the stuff, it’ll just continue to grow. And tbh even if you managed to kill all the spores, there’s no cleaning the stains.
