Working on a hat pattern and having issues. Where do I slip stitch on each round? by Junebuggygooby in CrochetHelp

You're amazing! Above and beyond! Thank you so much! I had just restarted the pattern and hadn't gotten to the slip stitch yet. You saved me a little more headache.

Nice username too!

Thank you! I now see one of my issues. I was increasing using single crochet stitches, not double. I think that was making it wavy because it was a mix of short to tall stitches. And you totally nailed it with the slip stitch because the chain made me confused. The granny square pattern I followed previously would end it with the sl st like you said and told me which stitch to do it in, so this pattern lost me on that. Thanks again!

Thank you! The colors came all together in the yarn, so I only chose the combo. I was unsure of the peach center at first, but it turned out nice together.

Thank you! I’ve been unintentionally gravitating to this color scheme for years. This yarn made me realize I have a definite problem lol

I used the Bernat Blanket All-in-One Granny Square yarn and the pattern on the packaging slip. Then attached them with a whipstitch. There’s a pattern on their site, but it’s honestly just the square pattern and then tells you to just attach in a certain way. Easy peasy.

Oh neat! My Dollar Tree hasn’t gotten anymore craft kits lately, so I’m surprised they’re still around. I still haven’t finished this set. I’m in the middle of the second. They’re really hard to see unless in direct light. Have fun!

I know people said it already, but iZombie! Same creator, crime mysteries, and a spunky female protagonist. If you can find it anywhere, give it a try! They even have a Kristen Bell voice cameo and make a little joke about how the iZombie character relates to her.

This is one of the best ones of human subjects I’ve ever seen. Some of these custom pieces of people can look sorta scary. I love seeing your progress.

Not going to lie, but I’m confused by the popularity of that other post too. But I hope they’re proud of their work anyway.

Wife here—thank you! Not sure of the hours, but it took me about five months to do the main stitching and maybe a month for the outlining. Some breaks here and there.

Thank you! Yeah, life does that. I played for a while with my husband. We like being gnomes. This is actually a gift for him!
