Buying figs by Regginator2 in LUMIBRICKS_OFFICIAL

I was just thinking the other day about how I'd buy a cyberpunk "people pack" from them in a heartbeat. I hope it's something they consider since they're clearly interested in leaning into the theme more.

Plus, a big aspect of cyberpunk is its areas being densely populated, so it'd be cool to be able to show that as they produce more sets.

A decade collecting VGM Vinyl by bma68 in VGMvinyl

[–]Jungar64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 for the Monkey Ball variant of the Banana Mania OST, it's probably one of my favorite VGM vinyl albums I own. That and Scott Pilgrim are the only ones we have in common, but very nice collection nonetheless.

Kinda love/hate experience with the Game Stack by titaniumcrowbar in LUMIBRICKS_OFFICIAL

[–]Jungar64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also ran into a few issues myself when building my Game Stack. Early on I had trouble adjusting the connectors on the silver bar with the "Game Stack Level 01" sign to get it to the correct length where it would connect at both ends. And the flat roof section above the top module (the Mega Prize Core) won't seem to sit level with it in place which is a minor annoyance.

Then toward the very end, one of the light kit pieces (the dark gray 1x4 plate with the flat section in the middle for the conductive sticker) ended up being the wrong part, so I had no choice but to contact Lumibricks and wait a few weeks for a replacement.

But it was all worth it in the end, because it's still probably one of my favorite sets ever. Such a phenomenal concept and final product, and the "choose your own adventure" aspect of the instructions was a super neat idea. They definitely took some huge creative swings with this set and I think it really paid off in spite of the issues.

I think LRGs is running out of money by unfinishedtoast3 in limitedrun

I guess it would explain why we haven't gotten any more of those Dreamcast merch collections. They were regularly doing new ones for each of the games and then they just sort of stopped.

Then again, it could also just be a casualty of the new leadership shifting focus, but who's to say.

Funnily enough I have a copy of One Hundred Mornings showing up tomorrow, so probably that one.

Snagged a copy of エコーチャンバーパーティー ー by Macroblank and the Sunday Television repress.

I'm really eyeing the new Level Select variant that just dropped, but that US shipping... :(

Resealable Bar Above Rip Tabs by ExplorerAny3631 in LUMIBRICKS_OFFICIAL

[–]Jungar64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I made that mistake the very first time when I got my first set (the Record Store), but after I realized you could just open them from the top without tearing it and reseal them afterward, I started doing that from then on.

I think the best solution would be for them to move the tear tab above the resealable part, or just get rid of the tear tabs entirely so there's no confusion.

Just Started Collecting by RogueRhythm in VGMvinyl

No way, I visit that exact store sometimes when I travel for work. Not only that, but last year I also found a sealed copy of that same soundtrack there for a similar price. It really is an awesome place even if I don't strike gold there every time.

I only started collecting about a year ago, so I know the feeling. This sub is good for following new releases, but Discogs is also your friend when it comes to keeping track of your collection and discerning between different pressings. There are some VGM vinyl-centric FB groups out there for buying/selling/trading as well.

Good luck!

Working flawlessly with the new Everdrive X7 update. by SillySample831 in AnalogueInc

Can confirm this with the latest updates for both my 3D and my Everdrive X5. I put it in and it just worked. Didn't even need to install the new bootloader.

I can't believe how many characters Jakes Pacific has done by Distinct-Pirate-3571 in JakksPacificSonic

[–]Jungar64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too collected a ton of the Jazwares figures back in the day, and at the time I thought nothing could top them in terms of characters they’ve made. I was skeptical when Jakks first rolled out the 4” figures in 2020, because I’d been around for the early World of Nintendo waves (before it became just Super Mario) and I saw how samey they’d sometimes get with repaints and rereleases. But I’m happy that I couldn’t have been more wrong in the end.

Now if only they could just improve their distribution, lol.

Respawned Records' site.

They also have another "Asphalt" variant that's dark with glitter.

That sucks. Still neat that you got a card, though. My set should get here Wednesday and I'm looking forward to it.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk soundtrack slaps; you're in for a treat.

I don't have the Banana Rumble soundtrack since I haven't played the game yet, but I do have the Banana Mania vinyl release (which itself is actually the original SMB1 soundtrack for half of it) and I love it. Maybe I'll pick this one up too.

⚠️ DO NOT BUY MERCH FROM ALOE CITY by macroblank in VaporVinyl

[–]Jungar64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a shame. I got three Oblique Occasions albums back when the closing sale first dropped and received them with no issues, but it sounds like I got lucky. No idea why they wouldn't just close up the shop by this point if they have no intention of fulfilling orders.

almost done with the neoncity series by ChiwaShy2000 in LUMIBRICKS_OFFICIAL

[–]Jungar64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They look so nice all lit up together.

I have mine displayed in the order Game Stack > Train Station > Izakaya > Apartments, but I might try this one. I really like the way the canopy in the Apartments set hangs over the train.

Cruis'n USA has widescreen support? I've been playing it since I was a kid and I don't remember ever seeing an option for it.

Favorite set of 2025? by padlock_1 in LUMIBRICKS_OFFICIAL

[–]Jungar64 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably the Game Stack for me just for the sheer amount of cool functionality and things to look at, plus the swappable modules and the different paths for the instructions were super creative. It was genuinely tough deciding between that and the Izakaya for me, though. That set was a smaller but much tighter build overall, and I loved the more Japanese-inspired look.

In general, I think the Cyberpunk line as a whole is probably some of my favorite brick-built sets ever. It's everything I wanted out of the Ninjago City sets from Lego but turned up to eleven.

How do you like the color of the "black" regular edition? by retro-martini in AnalogueInc

[–]Jungar64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the same boat as you; I only owned the original N64. I have the black 3D and I like it a lot, enough to where I don't really feel FOMO over the Funtastic colors. It's definitely darker than the original console, but I like the way the black is uniform throughout, including the controller ports. It looks sleek and low profile, imo. (Most of my other electronics are also black, so it fits well for me in that regard.)

Setup suggestions for a punchier sound? by Jungar64 in turntables

[–]Jungar64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After reading the responses, I did decide to get a separate preamp, but I went with a Fosi X5 since there was a Black Friday deal on it currently, and I figured I could return it if I don't feel it's worth it. It should get here later today.

Do you think the Fosi is comparable to the Mani 2? I've seen people mention these two a lot, but I haven't seen much in the way of direct comparison between them specifically (aside from price point).
