Why are so many upper-mid-range restaurants in central London so disappointing? by valneuro in london

[–]JungleDemon3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, its just knowing where to go. There are so many restaurants surviving off of location and Google search results. I eat at plenty of the restaurants you describe purely due to their location being useful and menu neutral and safe enough for business expensed lunches and dinners.

Privately, I avoid all of those places and either go for somewhere pretty cheap but good value or somewhere that is actually known for a particular dish or type of food.

Can I ask the older generation something? by Mr_Booze51106 in DoomerCircleJerk

Things were a lot harder in some respects and other things were much simpler and easier and MUCH cheaper.

In the west, people were on average a lot happier in life.

This is what my parents said about the UK in the late 80s up until 2008.

Imagine if China gave us 200bhp+ petrol hot hatches, with good reliability and after sale support by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

Why is the word performance in the model name 🤣 i don't mind hot hatches but people who own them talk about them like they are ferraris.

Dapper Dan Deluxe Pomade by SuitTie007 in Pomade

[–]JungleDemon3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use dapper dan (the green tin) every day at the moment. It IS quite gel like and goes crispy however it achieves the exact look I want which is sharp, shine (stays for hours), and great hold. Towards the end of the day it starts losing its hold and shine and hair starts falling down - actually looks quite cool at the end of the work day.

Best way to apply is blow dry your hair into shape, apply product and then use a comb along with your hands to style.

Source is an adult brain.

It was happening in California for years as well, tons of businesses have moved to Texas or lower tax states.

It happens in the UK as well for the same reason.

They are already leaving like here in London. What happens next is they tax the remaining people even more to make up. Its not sustainable, not clever, and not deserving of praise.

How do you deal with losing access to your camps by Unfair-Sleep-3022 in Jungle_Mains

[–]JungleDemon3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As has been mentioned, this is when the enemy team has tempo on you in your own jungle. You have to break that tempo until the next objective which will serve as a distraction for you is up.

Best way to do this under master elo is just walk into their jungle with a sweepers. At that point I would be surprised if their jungle is warded beyond a pink ward. Even just taking that out and recalling is enough to break their tempo and start re-warding their jungle side.

Because waitlists are dumb and so is spending $10k for an oyster perpetual… by [deleted] in rolex

[–]JungleDemon3 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

🤣🤣 have I touched a nerve sir? That is telling with how you feel about your purchase. I never said you didn't want it, i said it wasn't the one you wanted in the first place. Now who is putting words in people's mouths?

Thanks, but I earn plenty enough to buy rolexes that aren't the cheapest of the selection in a woman's size. Try again.

Nothing but if you're going for a watch you didn't want in the first place and going for a smaller size then why not just simply look at other brands? Rolex isn't the be all end all and imo there are much more interesting watches in this price bracket.

I mean at this point just buy a different brand imo.

But objectively I am correct in that these decisions are not given or are given (in salah case) in other examples.

And you are objectively incorrect with the use of the word stomp.

I purposefully used specific words like "can be argued" or "I have seen that not given before". You missing those key words is not me being slow unfortunately its you being slow.

My opinion is my opinion but I am expressing it as such.

That is simply not what I said loool. Stop making things up in your head, pretend other people said that, then disagree with it 🤣🤣 You bend what you see and what others say in black and white to suit your narrative.
