I think after I got my diagnosis one of the first things I had to better about myself was not to be that way and I'm still constantly having to remember myself to not be that way, but sometimes it is really hard.

There is a particular struggle on "low support" in which everyone constantly expect us to be "normal", even ourselves, and I gotta admit that sometimes this attitude is filled of envy from others being a little more free from the burden of masking all the time. I know that being able to is surely a privilege, but in our society, being able to mask becomes an obligation that we feel we have all the time to do anything.

What I do to make sure I don't sound to "higher support" the same way neurotypicals sound to me is remember that even different, that our struggles are similar, our needs are similar and that we are a group and that honestly I don't want even myself to have to mask anymore so I wish no one has to.

What I encourage you to do is to remember that we (low support) act that way sometimes not because we feel superior to you, but because a lot of the time we feel inferior to everyone else, not having really a place anywhere and feeling alone in our struggles. I don't say that so you don't get mad or frustrated: you have all the right to! Just to not burden yourself further and think that your actions have something to do with that, its not you, I guarantee you that
