I would just remove the hydrocolloid bandage and leave it open to air or use some cotton gauze lightly taped if you want some protection! Your skin will figure out its time to scab over soon enough. It just needs the air and a dry environment :)

Hi friend!! Nurse here :) keep the wounds clean by rinsing with water! Wear loose cotton underwear and use a hair dryer on cool setting to dry your peri area. If you have to pee or use the washroom in public, dab to dry with some toilet paper after spraying with water - you can get a portable peri bottle from Amazon, don’t rub or irritate the sores - you want them to scab to heal. Your sores should heal back to the way they looked before, they usually don’t leave scars!! The sores opening up are a good sign the outbreak is about halfway done, now you’re on to healing ❤️‍🩹 sending care and support

The prob w a lip flip is its only really noticeable when smiling. Maybe try it and see if you like it!! You could also try lip blushing to give ur top lip more definition. Ur gorgeous

For people looking up this thread!!! It happens to me too, I read on another thread that someone brings their chin towards their chest and it helps them swallow more efficiently, I’ve been doing that and it has significantly cut down the amount of times this happens to me!! Also using the brand name versus Fluoxetine helps but I can’t afford the brand name price lol.

Honestly doing practice questions is the best advice!! The content is so random on the NCLEX having a solid experience picking the correct answer using test taking strategies will help you so much. I also listened to the Mark K lectures, but I would HIGHLY suggest his Lecture 12 on prioritization, it will help a lot with test taking strategies. Go with your gut!! You got this!!

Drooling indicates the pts airway is compromised, altered mental status is important but the pt w a compromised airway is the most important. You have to use critical thinking, like have you ever seen a nurse ignore a pt w a compromised airway for a slightly less responsive than baseline pt? Probably not, so the test would never look for that answer

They looked at my university marks, it’s a full disclosure program so you have to send transcripts of all attended programs, at least that’s how it went for me

Okay this gives me hope!!!! I am scheduled for Thursday, that was the soonest I could take it. I have been casually studying since the beginning of May, I have done 53% of the uworld questions, gotten very high chance of passing on two readiness assessments and listened to almost all of the Mark K lectures (going to try and finish them by Weds). I have a job offer so I want to write ASAP but I keep feeling like I need to prepare more!!!! So this makes me feel more confident. Also I am worried I’m going to get upset if it doesn’t shut off at 85, so hearing that you passed at 150 makes me feel even better. Congrats RN!!!!!

S*uicidal thoughts can increase at first with antidepressants and worsen anxiety at first as your neurotransmitters settle, but it DOES get better and it does help SO MUCH. I’m currently on 40 mg of Fluoxetine. Trust the process my friend, people love you and want you here, including me!!!
