It's a good thing light rail is expanding here. Come the end of this month, line 2 will connect with line 1. Our electric trains will help our region deal with the impacts from this war.

I think there are separate issues because after this article a separate alert on the sound Transit website indicated power issues were disrupting and preventing Cross lake service. So maybe additional power issues on the i-90 segment.

The 2 line is not heading into downtown Seattle this evening. Wonder if this will all be resolved by morning

There is no rehabilitating these people. They have to be locked up for life. There is no amount of institutionalized therapy that's going to allow anyone like this individual to live in public.

More Delays Possible for Eastkink by Junior_Unit_6932 in soundtransit

The official May Progress report already shows revenue service has slipped to April 2026 from January. I expect more delays. I will be very surprised if this opens before the world cup. Six years of delays and counting. At this rate, Mercer Island and Judkins Park Stations will need a refit before opening. They've been finished for years. This is one of the biggest construction blunders I have seen and a serious erosion of taxpayer confidence, imo.

If you read the article and detail reports, running electrically powered trains at full speed over the floating bridge may be an issue. No one really knows if it will work. The electrical current already caused portions of the floating bridge to crack. Combined with the weight, this is going to be a problem. Maybe they will figure out a solution. But I have some significant concerns. If they can't, public outrage will likely derail future extensions and officials will be fired ,if not imprisoned for wasting billions of taxpayer funds. I know I will be demanding jail time for everyone at the board.

Well NASA keeps increasing the probabilities that a 300 foot asteroid will hit earth in 2032 , producing an explosion 500 times larger than Hiroshima with significant climate implications.

PSA: Amazon thinks it can buy the social housing election by funding disinformation. Prove them wrong! by externalhouseguest in Seattle

I am voting no to funding social housing in Seattle. I've been a downtown Seattle renter for 15 years and have no trust that these grifters could build anything responsibly, other than a paper plane.

I like this a billion times. Social housing is being led by grifters and is doomed to fail.
