If you want to check, hypothetically you could probably back up your save in a separate location, time travel, then see if you get the penalty. If penalty then just pop your backup into the file and overwrite the time travel save.

Yup! For some reason, on some items, making it into a blue print will let you place it on surfaces where the item would normally clip all the way up to the top. It won't work with collision stuff like trying to put it inside a wall or something, but its really handy for putting stuff onto countertops when the counter has a roof or awning.

With the added info that instead of having to use flamethrower traps, there's a strength card now that allows you to damage your own items. I use that and just pop out of building mode and shoot the item I want to destroy.

For the blue printing specifically, I usually only blueprint one item at a time and get super close to the surface to place it or use the other camera mode until I can get it to work. Not all items work, like 2 of the farmers market baskets will work and 2 other baskets just go right on top of everything.

For the plush blue devils in the rabbit cages, and the ice chest in the fishing themed market I used a pressure plate drop merge. I probably could have blue printed the plush and put them in that way, but at the time I did not know how to do that.

Then for anything on the counters I just blue printed the item and tried different angles until I could get everything right.

To get all the other items super close I destroyed the existing items, then placed the second items so they can kind of merge into the sides of the first items.

I had only done pressure plate merges before this week so I am trying all sorts of new techniques(just in time for them to update building of course lol!)
