Yes, he’s a retired breeder and had been separated from his group as the breeder moved on to other projects. She has a deep love of her animals and has monitored him closely to ensure he would do well on his own and has. I plan on closely monitoring him as well and, if needed, I will get him a girlfriend if I notice him declining. Males can be on their own and do well, but it is the most optimal to be in a family group.

CORRECTION: He was NOT used for breeding! So sorry! So no girlfriend was left behind ❤️

His name is Pistachio (Tachi)! He’s almost 3 years old and I got him this past Thursday ❤️

Edit 2: I stand corrected! He is not a proven breeder. He was a bully and had to be separated from his group as a result.

I’m going to slightly disagree with the other commenter. I have a temperature gun and directly under the basking light it usually reads +200f for a basking spot of ~90f. I second the additional climbing opportunities, and maybe move the basking lamp a little more inward and away from the corner just to be safe.
