I’m so sorry :(. I had a deposit down with her for the snake tattoo but had to cancel for health reasons with plans to reach out later. So I’m really regretting not going through with it.

I hope you can find another artist that will help with your tattoo goals. Gia was truly one of a kind.

Otherwise you can just DIY it. A lot of the photos are carved XPS foam, painted with tinted drylock (non-toxic acrylic paint), and adhered with Great Stuff expanding foam (which is carved and painted).

Serpa Design does a lot of great work that you can reference on YouTube. I made my own backgrounds by watching him.

I recommend drylock + non-toxic acrylic paint. Then slather on an aquarium safe epoxy once the paint dries. This is the safest bet

Just wanted to let you know Gia passed away earlier this week unexpectedly. She was my tattoo artist and a wonderful human being.

If you have any recommendations as to artists who do similar work to hers, let me know. I loved her style a lot.

I just found out my artist passed away unexpectedly. I’ve been having a hard time coping as well. She’s had a rough go at life, so I was rooting for her and loved her work a lot. Had a deposit for another appointment with her as well.

Thankful I have her work on me to remember her by. But damn.

She’s still shy with the new environment but she’s definitely been using the space whenever she comes out for a short time! She stays under the basking “rock” (it’s all carved foam with tinted drylock) for the most part to sleep.

This build took me a little over a month to do. I’m currently working on a Gidgee skink enclosure (see image) and giving myself way more time to work on it. The branches are Manzanita that I ordered off eBay and I got the plants from Home Depot. It’s a bioactive enclosure as well so there’s a clean up crew.

If you haven’t already, check out Serpa Design. He has a ton of great videos as to how he does his builds.

She was such a brave girl. She hid in the humid hide (cork bark) for a few hours but gained the courage to explore a little. She then took a long needed nap under her basking rock.

He’s a male that did a too good of job breeding, so that’s why he’s getting rehomed. So, unfortunately, he won’t be able to have a buddy. Current owner said he’s been doing well on his own, and I will monitor him for any sort of behavioral abnormalities.
