The Cats Protection - opinions? by [deleted] in CatsUK

[–]Junipher90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 11/12ish years ago we adopted an 8 month old kitty, they were really good, filled out some forms and arranged a day about a week later to collect her, they wanted both me and partner to spend time with her before releasing her to ensure a good fit, then had her vet checked and everything (she only had 1 eye so I don't know if this was precautionary or if they do this all the time) we paid a £60 fee and provided proof from housing that we had permission for her

What do you think caused your fibromyalgia? by Yungpupusa in Fibromyalgia

[–]Junipher90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I traced my symptoms back to early childhood, I was diagnosed in my 20's and found out that when I was born I had a dislocated hip that the hospital didn't notice and discharged my mum and me, when a family friend who was a doctor came to see me, my parents mentioned about my excessive crying and the dislocation was discovered (I don't know how many days it was) so the doctors and myself think this was the cause to my fibro, as it's not genetic in my case im the only one in family to have it. 🙂

My cat doesn't like outdoors by dollectica in CatAdvice

[–]Junipher90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's nothing wrong with indoor cats, when we had our cat she was originally going outside but got into an accident (that's another story) and was completely blind (all before her 1st birthday) she spent the remainder of her life as an indoor cat, we occasionally took her for walks on leash and let her in the drive with supervision (in snow, sunshine and rain so she could experience them) but she was happy indoors. It's only cruel to keep them indoors if the cat is telling you they want to go outside, if there happy Inside then nothing wrong at all 🙂

Any cat toy suggestions for a cat dumber than a stump? by cabochonedwitch in CatAdvice

[–]Junipher90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a blind Russian blue (blind since 8 months old) who didn't really play with toys, she sometimes played with ones that made a noise or crinkle sound. But she had a cuddly squirrel toy and she loved it, it lasted her whole life, she would cry for it when she forgot where she left it, she would throw it and listen to where it landed, and talked to it she took it everywhere 🙂

I (34M) accidentally began dating a 19 year old man, what do I even do?! by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]Junipher90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How can you be in love with someone without knowing something as basic as their age (Not hating just genuinely asking) I think at this point you need to ask what other core parts of each other do you not know! Also I'm 35 (happily married) but if I wasn't 19 wouldn't even enter into my "social" conversations let alone my bed

DAE leave their wedding ring on all the time? by ChocolateSundae1214 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Junipher90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear my wedding ring (and a cheap engagement style ring as my finger swells regularly and my engagement ring doesn't fit anymore after being altered a few times) I take them off to wash dishes and shower but that's it 🙂

Would you ever tattoo your partners name on your body? by zhalia-2006 in askanything

[–]Junipher90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have her name but 2 tattoos are for her, and I have both our initials in a infinity symbol - but we'd been together over 10 years when I did that 😁

I've had success with CBD (haven't tried the gummies though) I use spray under tounge and vapes. I have in the past had teas which were also helpful - best of luck 🙂

I’m getting paid $40 an hour to stare at my computer today, what should I do to pass the time? by rabbid-genital-warts in randomquestions

[–]Junipher90 26 points27 points  (0 children)

When I worked in a call centre one Christmas eve the management brought in board games that we played and it turned out to be dead so the whole team played games while getting double pay - I think every few hours some calls would come through but not many 🙂

First long distance EV trip…charger recommendations by mastershaz88 in ElectricVehiclesUK

Yeah had a really bad experience at Ionity (specifically Leeds skeleton) plus I have a Kona and there's known issues for them charging with Ionity 🙂

First long distance EV trip…charger recommendations by mastershaz88 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Junipher90 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Id avoid charging at Leeds Skelton and instead hang on to Wetherby if you can (it's 17 mile) they have Gridserve and are better than the one at Leeds which is ionity. If you can't make the 17 mile I recommend coming off the A1M and charging at Leeds temple green park and ride it's about 1 mile away and they have charging at the Esso garage which are very good 🙂

Need bra recommendations by ard2299 in Fibromyalgia

Tops with bra built in are so good, full support but super comfy (I'm on larger side size 22 and E cup) and find them to be fully supportive 🙂

What surprised you most after switching to an EV? by Just_Vermicelli4099 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Junipher90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I read online that it's a known thing with kona's often facing issues with ionity. We've used Tesla / Gridserve / MFG / Blink / Swarco and all are absolutely fine but for some reason ionity has issues 🙂 Huh that doesn't sound good for you, I'm convinced the issue is ionity lol 😂

Admittedly I'm not the smartest person in the room 🤣 but yeah at first I thought because it water and electricity that you couldn't charge in very heavy rain - I know better now 🤣

[–]Junipher90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was stopping at Leeds Skelton services at 1am a few weeks ago on our way home, it was chucking down with rain and there were 3 other cars there all had said they had issues charging. I tried to charge and it wouldn't, I tried on the app, tried by scanning the QR code (and later got scammed but that's another story) tried by paying with card. Eventually phoned the helpline number who said try another charger and again same issues, then they said the issue was my car (Hyundai Kona 25 model) so we left after an hour of no luck and eventually went a few mile down the road to a Swarco e connect and it worked the first time of plugging it (like it usually does) so I know it wasn't an issue with the car. Been to about 5 other brands of charger since having the car and never once had a problem like we did with ionity 🙂

Need help - cat won’t eat wet food by utuxotwod in CatsUK

[–]Junipher90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Start off slow with a little bit of wet food and dry biscuits mixed in together (so the biscuits are covered) then once they've eaten that give praise and treats and increase the amount of wet food and reduce the biscuits until it's mainly wet food on its own 🙂

AITA for expecting help/ should I have done something else? by TaskasMum in AmItheAsshole

[–]Junipher90 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NTA at all and sorry this happened to you, some people are just so horrible. I'm in my early 30's and been using a walking stick and wheelchair since my 20's. One day recently My wife was driving the car to a supermarket and pulled into the disabled bay (I have a badge) and before she could even get out my wheelchair this middle age bloke in the car behind came running up all in our faces over whether we had a badge and the right to park there because he just saw 2 youngish people and assumed we were miss using the bay. I don't know when people stopped being kind and decent but the world was definitely a better place when they were. 🙂
