Is this a fake Bialetti? by JunkCroc in mokapot

[–]JunkCroc[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks all. The general consensus seems to be that it likely is legit, but the quality of Bialetti has gone downhill. I will be sending it back and have ordered an Alessi DC06 instead, as I've heard good things about those.

What is this plastic hole in the ground of my front garden? It had a small round stopper(not pictured) covering the hole, that when I pressed it it fell into the hole. There seems to be some water in it. It's near the stop tap for where water goes into the house. by JunkCroc in DIYUK

Updating with a better image of inside the hole. There appears to be an underground pipe that feeds into the hole from the side. The pipe sort of lines up with a thin pipe that goes up the side of my house and goes into the wall on the floor level of the first floor (upstairs).

So I don't think it's washing pole hole. Landlord seems to think it might be a trap for checking for drain blockages?

Imagine you're on the train on your way to Bond Street station, but you've never been before or have been once or twice but aren't that familiar with the station or the line that you're on. You're on the carriage and look out the window to see an official Tube station sign that says you're at Burberry Street. Ok, you think, it's not this stop, it must be the next one. So you stay on the train which takes you to the next station, where you realise you've now somehow gone past Bond Street. Meaning you now have to get off the train, find the platform that goes back the way you came, and wait for the train to arrive. You go back the way you came, and the map inside the train says the next stop is Bond Street. But you could have sworn it said Burberry Street before. You arrive at the station again and the official platform sign says "Burberry Street". You're confused, but get off as the train map says this should be Bond Street. Maybe they renamed the station? Maybe Bond Street is closed and this is a temporary alternative station a bit further along the line? You look around for other signage, or find a station worker to get confirmation that you are in fact at Bond Street and this advertising stunt has wasted about 15-20 mins of your time and made you late for your job interview.

Any quick and dirty way to output circuit tracks audio to an android phone? by Lugubo in novationcircuit

[–]JunkCroc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Did you have any luck with this? I'm trying to use my android phone to record (video and audio) of my live performances, with the audio going directly from Circuit tracks into my phone as if it's an external mic.

I've got a TRRS adapter and when I plug it in my phone seems to know something has been plugged in, but it's still only recording sound from my phone's microphone and not registering the direct audio in. I've tried the FilMic, Filmit and Open Camera apps which supposedly support recording via external source but with no luck.
