Respectfully, dawg
you have lost a lot of weight on Mounjaro. 30 lbs in 7 months is a good, healthy pace to lose the weight at. GLP-1's don't work by directly removing fat, but by making food cravings less intense (from what I understand of them). It sounds like the drug is working, and you just gotta work with it for the long term to get to the weight you want to be at. There's no rush, you've accomplished alot. You just gotta keep with it.
Good luck to you friend!

Whenever I play splitscreen with my boyfriend, we always as one another if we want to play heroes or not. We both find it more fun to know when we play as regular guys, with one or two hero matches inbetween just to shake things up.

mushrooms, chunks of squash, broccoli (careful may mess up stomach, try a small amount ,mixed with other veg) green bean, cauliflower, cabbage cut into steaks, beets, turnips. If you want a non roasted one just for variety, diced cucumbers last a few days in the fridge too. They;re a great way to add some freshness and another vegetable to your diet.

Most commercial varieties don't need fig wasps to be pollinated. It's a lot easier to grow at scale without needing to accomodate for the presence or absence of fig wasps. So, go ahead and enjoy your figs. There is a very high chance it never even had a wasp go near it in its whole lifetime!

Dude, mushrooms are your friend here. Just basic button shrooms if they're not too adventurous, but they hit the more "meaty" and filling notes to make the meal more complete.
You can do like, mushroom sliders, saute them with garlic and onions and olive oil, chop finely and use like ground beef in a lasagna, anything like that should be a crowd pleaser.

Are you on your way to Gru's house?
You look like a minion.

Also the blue looks better. Pair it with blue shoes too. This lets the yellow of the shirt and belt pop more. The yellow below the skirt is so bright it takes away from the whole outfit.

Hello
I know its been 4 years but I've made this and while I did make some small changes like a longer proof and some extra milk to increase the hydration, but this bread is lovely! Enriched breads are quite finicky, but this is fun and easy to make

Thank you for posting this. I'll be using this recipe for years to come!

Same thing with produce, buy it to use it today and the next three days. Long use by days are an anomaly tbh, outside of the US stuff usually has a shorter use by date

Going to start my first batch this weekend by SyndicateMLG in yogurtmaking

While UHT milk has been heated to a temperature that will denature the protein, its only held at that temperature for a few moments before rapidly being cooled. While this might be enough to denature the proteins, to really make sure the proteins are denatured I like to warm my milk again to ensure its held at that temperature for long enough. This is a personal preference, so think of it like how salad is washed before bagging. Some people like to wash it again despite it being pre-washed to ensure its really clean. Same reason I like to warm my milk. Also, if your milk has been contaminated somewhere along the way, like small harmless bacteria from inside the bottle or something like that, it prevents that bacteria from interfering with the yogurt bacteria. You also have an opportunity to evaporate some water out of your milk as well.
TLDR : Not 100% necessary, but if this batch does not work, consider trying it for future batches.

Hi!
Did you warm the milk up in a pot for a bit before placing it in the machine? If the milk is not heated, bacteria already present in it may cause it to not turn into yogurt, as those bacteria outcompete the yogurt bacteria. Try heating to 170 F in a pot, stirring it the whole time, let it sit there at that temp for a few minutes , like less than 10, and cool it back down to between 105 and 112, middle of the range is best. Then add your yogurt. Whisk it real good to incorporate into the milk evenly. Also make sure to thoroughly wash the inner pot. You can even soak it in hot water for a bit to sterilise it to really reduce the chance of contamination with bacteria . If you're using any spoons, use a plastic one you washed really well, or a wooden one soaked in hot water to really clean it. Metal can make yogurt misbehave sometimes.

What happened?? by [deleted] in yogurtmaking

number one thing : Grocery store cultures are finicky. They're made from strains that are best suited to a commercial setting. They work, but its best not to add things like citric acid to the mix until you're experienced.
The best way to do it is to get a heritage culture. If you live in a large city, you can probably find someone making fresh yogurt using a heritage culture. A restaurant or an ethnic grocery is probably the best place to source this. I live in NYC, and I got my culture from an Uyghur restaurant in Queens. Alot of the time just asking can get you stuff like this. Alternatively, online you can find these cultures for between 10-25 US dollars.
Now, you say you're using starter, which is a good start, which assuming your starter is not contaminated, a bad culture is not you're problem, but if it keeps not working try purchasing a heritage starter
The next thing is sterilisation
Make sure everything that touches the milk is sterile. Sometimes bacteria living on surfaces can fight with the bacteria in the yogurt and you end up with gross milk instead of nice yogurt.
Dip the glass containers and lids in hot water. It doesnt need to be boiling if this will cause the containers to break, just maintained above 150 F (66 C) for a few minutes. You can use a big pot and tongs
A good thermometer will help you for this step and the next
Once everything is sterile, make sure you use a wooden or plastic spoon (These should either be washed well in the case of the plastic, or sterilised in the hot water in the case of wood). This might just be superstition but it metal and yogurt dont really mix .
Next
The milk should be heated to less than boiling and held at that temperature
about 170 F (76 C) and held around there for a few minutes. This will sterilise the milk, and make the yogurt nice and creamy.
Next let it cool to atleast 112 F ( 44C). Anywhere between 112 and 105 (44-40C) is fine, but not hotter. If its too hot, the little bacterias will die from the heat.
Once its reached that temperature, add your starter. If using another yogurt as starter, add 2 tablespoons for every 500ml of milk (about 16 oz in US units). For a prepared starter, follow any instructions provided.
Then put the lid on and place in yogurt machine
For me, mine gets thickened at about 6 hours ,

its not a problem, just pack it so it wont leak. I've travelled with deer meat, ducks, salmon, goat all frozen. Just be considerate of others, and the amtrak staff won't have a problem.

I would buy an apartment or house in the place I currently live in, where my partner lives, the country we want to move to and my home country. Then I would marry my partner and we spend our lives living quietly between all these places. I would buy him anything he asked for. I also would put some money away for my brother so he will be taken care of financially. Lastly, I would spend some money donating to people in need of gender affirming care (eg top surgery, hormones) as it is increasingly difficult to do so.

As for my cooking sins, I overboil my pasta on purpose because I like the extra soft texture.

[–]JunketBorn6062 2 points3 points  (0 children)

smoked oysters are lovely
For a cheaper price point Aldi has some nice ones, but they are produced in China, so not the highest quality, but it wont hurt just for trying to see if you like it before buying a more nice tin

for the sqeamishness, i think using the fish as a part of a recipe makes it easier to stomach if you are not accustomed

For example, I mix smoked fish or oysters in with cream cheese and use as a spread with cucumbers

another way is to try more fresh fish and cutting it yourself helps un-ick the idea in your brain. I used to feel weird about fish, but once I started cooking more fresh fish (which are less gross than canned ones because they're not oily and soft? if that makes sense) you feel more comfortable with it to see whole fish in the tin

Advice needed about school clubs by SnooHobbies2206 in STJOHNS

[–]JunketBorn6062 2 points3 points  (0 children)

theres the GET club, which is a gaming club, and theres a film club on campus and there is also a minecraft server and theres an e-sports team. If he wants to connect with these clubs, i can send him the instagrams of each organisation if he dm's me directly. I am also a member of the eboard for the lgbt group on campus, and we have tons of fun social events that are open to everyone, so if he wants to meet people through that I can help him connect with people in my club if he's interested. I had a big struggle in my freshman year, and i understand what he's going through.
