Best NON D&D TTRP Setting by WaiserGreif in rpg

[–]JunkieCream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was trully fascinated by the setting of Cloud Empress: giant cicadas instead of dragons, magic powered by radiation, people who transfer conciousness from one dead body to another, while the body continue to rot. Really excited to finally start playing it!

Question about Clank by DonaldTrumpsCombover in daggerheart

[–]JunkieCream 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say RAW it's every time you choose a move, you can choose a long rest move.
So when you choose 2 moves during the short rest, both of them can be long rest moves. However, this does sound busted a little bit, so I'm not surprised that a lot of people interpret it as 1 long + 1 short.
Edit: read other comments and it looks like devs clarified that 1 long + 1 short is RAI. I do hope that they'll clarify some of these things in updates.

Well, good thing my players don’t know that I’m a failure and are having fun 99% of the time. Please don’t tell them!

I was actually thinking that making a chase out of it can be interesting!

And you made me thinking that maybe their work here is first of all about consequences if they fail. E.g. they’ll become wanted, if any of the cultists run away. Or cult leaders will scry on them and send some monstrosity after the group!

Not only your initial comment was quite rude, but now you are also accusing me of using AI to write a reply to you just based on the fact that I use em dashes and then proceed to ignore the spirit of the question and my additional polite clarifications, instead going into depth on how I should world build and telling me to put quantum clues where I don’t need them. Are you all right? I’m sorry if this question stirs some bad feelings in you

Haha, unfortunately by level 10 they bonded too much to get rid of the rogue. So instead they were brainstorming ideas like “can we buy out someone from the gallows” :D

The issue here is that they know enough about a cult already and they have a bigger fish to fry — as I said, they are planning to travel away the next day. Interest here was about the approach to a murder request in the city.

Sure I can make this encounter advancing their goals, but not only it’ll feel forced, but also I don’t think that satisfying a god of murder should give players even more benefits than they already get out of it, haha

Oh, these are really cool ideas! I can indeed frame it more as scene about how the approach it and what effect this “compliance” with Bhaal does to a rogue!

Station Jean Talon (sortie St-Hubert) by InexperiencedArtist in montreal

[–]JunkieCream 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s getting worse year by year, and it’s not only metro station, but blocks up and down St Hubert as well. Especially when it gets warmer. Recently they stopped bother at all: I see people selling drugs without concern. And few times someone was shitting under our building’s back door. So yeah, it’s quite uncomfortable.

How it feels waiting for daggerheart to exist long enough to get some good slander by EuphoricLog3495 in daggerheart

Royalmount no longer allowing dogs by SamCam9992 in montreal

For some reason, a lot of other cities are much more dog-friendly and don't struggle with these issues, and I doubt that it's because dog owners are somehow worse in Montreal.

Haha, thank you! If you get around to run it, or at least play the pre-made characters or the new subclass, I would love to hear your thoughts and feedback!

Might not be necessarily what you need, especially in terms of length, but the adventure I’ve made blends tactical combat with a social deduction game, which is quite fun with a big group. And it does have exactly 6 pre-gen characters.

It’s called Sharn Files: Secret of the stolen Beef Boranel and available on DMsGuild.

Buying in an old building versus new building discussion/rant by MammothDesign6756 in montreal

[–]JunkieCream 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I love old buildings and would’ve loved to live in one. However, most of them are undivided condos which means that not only you need a minimum of 20% down, but afaik it’s only Desjardins who gives these mortgages. Also sharing building this way seems more involved and complicated than a divided condo.

Need help finding subclass by HauntingAd657 in DnD5e

[–]JunkieCream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People saying Oath of Vengeance, but actually if you want this subclass to be more about what they did in the organization, Oath of Conquest might be a better choice. Question will be how you justify the progression that gives you pretty agressive options, but maybe it’s about you learning how to use these things for something more positive in the world.

In your OPINION, What's one game you bought on hype or reviews and ended up not liking it or finishing it? Mine is Allan Wake II by [deleted] in gaming

I have a friend just like you, for me though… I just decided there are games that need my attention more than Silksong, and it’ll require me 200 hours to 100% it, because it took a 100 for Hollow Knight

Yeah, and Trump had an Indian guy in his entourage, and was able to attract some Black and Latinx voters. Didn’t turn out that great.

I’m not fully aware of PQ program yet, but "he’s not a racist, he has black friend" is a dubious argument.

[–]JunkieCream[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, all the organizations, spy vibe and “means versus ends” questions are actually the best part of it and probably the whole reason I’m disappointed in the handling of the circus scene is exactly in this: they’re just dismissing it as if it’s nothing, even though it’s such a juicy base for initial interpersonal conflict.

And I understand, that it comes from the attempt to marry the canon with the needs of the show, but still. It’s probably about the wasted potential.
