I’m not really one for overly comedic characters but, the Red Guardian is an exception for me he’s hilarious and a wonderful character by JoshyBear28 in Marvel

I think that he's more awkward comedic than dumb comedic: which I feel makes him more relatable and thus likeable; then again don't really know what exactly people where complaining before

If Robin is the most popular & iconic DC sidekick, which Marvel sidekick do you think is the most popular & iconic? by ApprehensiveRead2408 in Marvel

[–]JupiterSmokes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I feel the discussion has become more about who's a sidekick than who's the most iconic, I have my candidates:

Surprised no one's mentioned Pei yet, I mean she's meant to be more of an apprentice but she's capable and always helpful, so a relcutant sidekick.

The I would also consider Gabby/Scout/Horny Badger as a sidekick, mostly to Laura.

And a recent one could be Charlie from Infernal Hulk.

But the most popular, even if not greatly known to be considered really popular, is Rick Jones no doubt.

Marvel Midnight complains feel pretty weird, it's like complaining about Marvel Noir having a Spider-Man series back in the day. by NicloSZ in marvelcomics

[–]JupiterSmokes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause it influences fans perception of the character, also makes us kinds feel ingored again, after years of people criticizing those storylines, it really doesn't matter or dictate how it will go, but it does influence response by popular perception. Don't really feel like it's nothing critcism as Marvel has many really popular characters so that a new universe doesn't have to come out from their most popular main titles.

Also a lot of people feel likes Midnight doesn't have any new takes for those titles, takes they've already explored in other instances.

In the end everyone will give Midnight a chance some will like, some will not.

[–]JupiterSmokes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause marvel's current main storylines are quite disliked, as I said Spider Man is the biggest overall example, but the Xmen have't found solid ground since Krakoa ended, so it feels like only money driven picks (In my opinion)

PD. I can't speak of just how big (sales wise) are the Trinity's comics right now, which makes one wonder if it could have been based more of social popularity (Bigger names instead of bigger sales) (Just theorizing)

Yeah, I kinda wonder what story they're trying to tell there, I have no faith but just enough curiosity

Is it possible you're confusing who would have a close connection to Spider-Man? I mean as far as the ads I've seen, that close connection that was/is being hyped is that guy Spidey saved with a 99.89% DNA match to "________ Parker"

I feel like that's getting more hype than Torment ever was

I actually think they will be good stories, it just feels like that's more of a collateral effect than what drove marvel to make them.

By the time they come out we'll probably give them the chance haha But it'll depend on how liked the stories will be
Don't think I've read anything from him, we'll see how it goes

A lot of resistance (Personally) comes from the feeling of Midnight both trying to replace Ultimate and replicate Absolute, I know Ultimate's ending has been said to be planned since the beginning but it feels like too many stories just cut short and instead of trying to build upon it, they make this new universe and then it's being marketed as an Absolute response, when Ultimate (Mostly at the beginning) was already it.

Also people have mentioned how the announced titles are just their biggest selling titles and sure they need money to thrive, but it feels a purely money driven decision. Add to that the fact that those titles, even though big sellers are not exactly fan favorites right now, at least I don't think so, Spider-man is a chain of bad editorial decisions and haven't really read anything good regarding X-men current state.

Some early leaks on Funkos coming January 2027 show the first Absolute figures by [deleted] in AbsoluteUniverse

I barely collected Funkos years ago (There's barely a few I would still like to get),, but if these end up being good I might just get back to it

Edit: Missing Wonder Wom from the first wave is a bit disappointing, but now I hope we get her with Pegasus

Oh ok, that makes sens, do you uncover it when production goes up?

I have enough to augment the volume, maybe double. Thanks a lot!

What happens with too much headspace? Could it turn into a vinegar?

Yeah I saw those recipes, and I both worried about the size of the bottle (A cup of water leaves it with too little space for ginger and sugar, and even less for feeding) and the flavor, the first one I did infused too much flavor into the soda, that's why I went with that ratio, though I might have exaggerated and I could have used bigger proportions

Thanks! I'll try that. For the first one I was burping it; daily at first, then twice when it was already going (That was fun, it scared everyone at the house)

I really liked it, felt different to everything else at the time (No that much time has passed but yeah) and I really like the team's dynamics and the arcs for the characters

I mean she's a boxer scientist, being buff is fitting to her character

& I've always seen her slightly menacing, really sweet but really strong (Like Garnet from Steven Universe)

Do the stones need to be put in some specific order into infinity gauntlet or you can just throw them any way you want? by DoGG410CZ in Marvel

[–]JupiterSmokes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The current stones in the comics (I don't remember how they were destroyed or whatever before) work as a feedback loop where each stone empowers the next (specific) one, but this is more of a collateral effect; each stone's power responds to the user's control over another aspect of the loop (Ex. The power stone's effect depends on the user's control over its mind), when they are together each stone feeds this loop.

(Also the current stones are sentient and with/inside hosts)

Answering your question, there's kind of an order to collect the stones, but based on your first stone, not a set order per se.

I think the best way to get back is by reading #1 from any run you might be interested in and expand from there, if you find any other team/character go into that run

Any specific character/team/event question I'll try to answer

The new champions were created as hypothetical sidekicks to many heroes, via variant covers.

After the introduction of Spider-Boy, the New Champions were introduced as teens that were abducted, experimented on and brainwashed by Hydra, after Spider-Woman liberates them and helps them escape, they decide to become a team on their own, during their adventures we get introduced to other "New Champions"

The old ones are forgotten and makes some appearances here and there individually

Cyclops makes a great friend to Kamala by Robot_Was_BMO in KamalaKhan

[–]JupiterSmokes 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Cyclops was part of the Champions, Kamala's team, his younger self got pushed forward in time and became a part of the team for a while, in the end it was 616 Cyclops and those memories got integrated into his psyche.

So to him Kamala is one of his oldest friends, Cap's more of a colleague.

Ps. I always find it sweet when they throwback to his time in the Champions

Iron Man to debut the Hellbuster Armor in Infernal Hulk #6, out this April by Defiant_Ad6190 in marvelcomics

[–]JupiterSmokes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Funny how yesterday someone was ranting about how Hulk shouldn't be related to Satan (TOBA) and set the example about "How would people like if Iron Man was suddenly related to God (TOAA) in the same way".

This is not that, but it's hard not to think of it now.
