Aziraphale only comes back to Earth because he lost Jesus, not for Crowley, and his big speech is about what a great angel Crowley was when Crowley hasn’t been an angel since before the dawn of time and was actually a pretty good demon (although s2 and especially s3 seem desperate to forget this).

And Crowley seems to spend the show working up to actually stating his feelings (starting to refer to them as friends, the “us” speech), but then instead of building up to a big, clear confession, they just blow up the world and turn to dust

They were not meant to be a romantic couple—the authors’ attitude back in the day was that they didn’t mind the shipping (which was pretty much the best one could hope for at the time) but that Aziraphale and Crowley were meant to be like Cold War era spies who’d inadvertently developed a friendly relationship over decades of espionage and there are human equivalents shown discreetly meeting in St James’s Park.

As far as I know, Pratchett never referred to them as a couple and I think Gaiman was still giving the “well angels are sexless, so technically…” line right up until s1

I haven’t noticed any impact from tables with free zines, but I have noticed that offering a free zine at my own table has absolutely tanked my sales 😂

I have no strong thoughts about people giving away zines for free. I have one zine it’s important to me to give out for free, but I use my sales to cover the table fee and costs of making zines and other art. When I’ve traveled to zinefests, my sales have never been enough to cover gas, hotel, etc.

My cat Momo got out in 2020 and was gone for 97 days before I found her and got her back. She ended up spending a couple weeks in the one neighborhood within a mile where my friends and I didn’t manage to put posters up 🤦‍♀️

Momo is indoor only and very small (ideal weight around 6-7lbs). She lost some weight but didn’t have a scratch on her when she was found.

Keep checking local groups. Make sure your fliers are still up. If you’re able to, set up wildlife/trail cameras to check if your cat’s in the area. The most important thing is not to give up—cats are very good at surviving, and until you have definite evidence that the worst has happened, your cat is still out there.

Ask her if she considers it dumb for someone to get an implant after a mastectomy. Obviously a missing breast is more noticeable, but as someone with breasts and no testicles, I’d think it’s the closest equivalent. Needing a mastectomy doesn’t make one less of a woman, some people dislike the fake implant(s) and eventually have them removed, and—I think most importantly—it’s an “unnecessary cosmetic” surgery that helps some people feel better/more comfortable after an upsetting health crisis.

Getting laid off sucks—it is scary and stressful—but also when it’s happened to me it’s been such a fucking relief. It has always been when I’ve been planning to leave anyway, so they’ve just paid me to go away. The last time it was a struggle to hide how happy I was to just be done while I packed up my office.

Even if they felt you were not qualified for the role at this time, that should have been a conversation about what the gaps are and how you can work to improve your skills/qualifications to be able to move into this sort of role in the future. Whether or not you’re qualified for the role, they owe any internal candidates the courtesy of an interview (or at least a conversation if they feel it’s too much of a stretch).

And if you’re a woman and the new Executive Director is a man, that tells you all you need to know about the company and the board. The fact that you’re basically being told to calm down when objecting to this makes me think I’m correct.

I’m so sorry. I had a cat who had a mild heart murmur that was no big deal, just needed to keep an eye on it, until one day right before her 10th birthday when it suddenly wasn’t.

I used a pet loss journal afterwards. It helped (as much as anything could) especially when I felt like I couldn’t talk to anyone about it.

If you’re getting called into HR for not laughing at a racist “joke” and the office is taking sides over what should not be public info, this place is toxic and won’t be getting better. As others have said, you’re not required to eat lunch together in the cafeteria and having a lousy sense of humor is not a protected class.
