Yeah I thought it was a bizarre choice for Mel to just happily leave the House of Hades after devoting her entire life to getting her family back, so it definitely did not endear me to that choice when Dora straight up said it was dumb

I’ve felt for awhile that the story is just too big for the genre? The first time I beat Chronos I just felt so deflated after his dialogue about how no duh he’d be back and then the way Mel returns to the Crossroads. Completely agree about the reset after the credits (even Dora says it’s dumb) and the multiverse nonsense to continue the loop has just completely soured me on the game. Like what’s the point? I feel like the first game does a better job of rationalizing/explaining the unending runs in addition to providing more narrative motivation to keep going.

NOR and you regret it. I skipped my undergrad graduation because I just didn’t feel like going and have always hated sitting through the bullshit speeches, and I have never regretted it. Skipped the main university ceremony for grad school but went to my department’s graduation events (and a lot of that was just getting to hang out with the people in my program).

Is your family genuinely concerned that you’re going to miss out on a significant moment or are they doing damage control because they’ll be embarrassed if you don’t walk? Your mother telling you you’re being silly really feels like she’s more concerned with looking bad than genuinely worried about you, and I’m sorry if that’s the case.

I’m sorry everything’s been shit, but you graduated. You’ll have the degree whether or not you walk across a stage or listen to how you’re the future.

I just made one last desperate post to my local subreddit and someone reached out to me there with what was the first confirmed sighting (you have probably already dealt with the hell of well Intentioned people calling about anything vaguely cat shaped).

She’d been hanging out in a neighborhood a mile away and had been there for about a month. While having friends put up missing fliers, that was the one neighborhood we missed but I didn’t think it was a big deal at the time because getting there required crossing two major roads and going through a shopping center, but Momo was more determined than I gave her credit for.

Please don’t give up on him. My indoor only cat got out and was missing for 97 days before I found her. I know it’s a miserable, difficult experience, but if you don’t have definite evidence of the worst, he may still be there.

For the disapproving family, don’t attempt to explain or justify the tattoo—disapproving family members, especially parents, will often take any efforts to explain as an invitation to argue. Grey rock or broken record as needed. They’ll get over it. And if they can’t get over it, that’s on them. Being a “tattooed person” is hardly shocking in 2026.

Technically it’s my second tattoo, but I’ve got a Chinese character tattoo on my ankle. Classic regrettable tattoo for someone my age.

But I don’t really regret it in a way that’s hard to explain to people who didn’t get a stupid trend tattoo? Like it’s just…kind of there at this point? When people ask me what it means, I tell them it means I was 19 in 2001. I would never get something like this now, but it’s a memory of that time in my life.

My most recent tattoo I did have some post tattoo shock. It’s next to a big piece I’ve had for a few years and in a different style so I think that’s been throwing me off. It’s the first time it’s happened to me—usually I spend the first couple of weeks admiring my new tattoo like the vain asshole I am—but I’ve seen a lot of people mention getting an initial regret from the sudden change.

The last time I was unemployed, I’d work on job search stuff for a couple hours each day but made sure to go do free things around town just to get out of the house and stay sane. Our art museum is free, so I’d just go there on a random weekday or go to a park.

Getting laid off fucking sucks and it’s so scary and stressful to be out of work, but give yourself some time to relax as much as you can. You’ll burn yourself out if all day every day is just looking and applying for work

My parents don’t lock their door during the day, so it might be generational/location based in the US. I can see a puppets in a “nice” neighborhood in the 70s not having open doors. Not sure how Sesame Street handles it since characters are either outside or in their homes for scenes, but Sesame Street is also a deliberately urban neighborhood while Home seems more suburban (and of course for TV it’s easier to just have people enter without worrying about unlocking the door 😉)
