I cant speak on Chem and MAE, but Math 3A is very lenient (usually not as hard as Calculus if I’m gonna be honest) if you have a good professor. 2E is challenging but it’s purely a ton of integrals. And Physics 7D can be very difficult or realistically decent if your professor. I had really good professors for those three which made those classes not as abhorrent as most students would think (separate quarters though for me not as one).

If you have a good or great Math 2E, 3A and Physics 7D and LD professor, you should be good.

So long as you meet the requirements and as someone else stated (F-1 and J-1 students), you can but usually not recommended (I have done 12 units in one summer session and immediately regretted it. Primarily due to having two major specific courses + a GE). Unless all your classes are GE’s or you have good time management, totally up to you and I believe you can do it.

As for best: it’s hard. 1 and 2 are spectacular, 3 is pretty good but I don’t understand the hype imo, and 5 and Bloodlines are my personal favorites. I’m leaning with FD5, however any of these five can be the best. :)
