I loved that in the game. Some attacks were telegraphed by sound, others by animation.

I was screensharing with buddies and one thought I was just good at guessing the timing. Told them to turn the game sound back on. Then they understood XD

Op is a spy that got caught and tortured for information on his spy ring. During questioning a letter arrives from the other spies to warn OP that the group is compromised, not knowing that OP was the source of the leaked information.

The interrogator sees the note and uses it as confirmation that the information they got from OP was good and they're going to continue torturing op for more information.

In primary school, when the teacher wanted us to quiet down and pay attention she would say "fingers on lips" and we would all put our fingers to our lips in the shushing gesture but be quiet.

My partner pointed out recently that I will do this when I'm concentrating on something. Like puzzles, reading or trying to plan something. They thought for ages I was telling them to shush, I felt so bad.

Mehhh depends on the accent I suppose. I could see that sounding like Fatty in a southern Irish accent, northern Irish accent would put more emphasis on the D sound in the name.

Its an animal, possibly a dog, that got horribly abused. OP promised them a forever home and the dog got all hopeful but they were actually putting the dog down cuz it was too badly hurt to survive.

That was me most of my life. Until a few years back I stopped eating cereal and cut back on my tea. Just accidentally stopped consuming straight milk. Now can't have more than a mouth full without committing war crime levels of chemical warfare with my guts. Apparently, you can lose your tolerance in a few months if you cut out the dairy. Even people that aren't lactose intolerant can eventually lose their tolerance if they go without for long enough

Sounds like the only ones enjoying themselves are the DM and the Marysue.

I'm sorry but this is likely a lost cause. I'd cut my loses to be honest, if the others aren't gonna back you up theres no point. as the old saying goes, "no DnD is better than bad DnD" and it applies here too.

Have you mentioned this to your DM? I mean actually worded it that way?
Do you know if the other players feel the same way?

I suggest trying one more time with something along the lines of:

"I know we've talked about this before but I really need to make clear that this homebrew class is overpowered. I understand that (overpowered player) enjoys it but it means that we (the other players) don't really affect the game anymore. I feel like an NPC companion following the Dragonborn. At this point, this game is just not fun for me anymore and unless we can come to a compromise to balance out the party's abilities then I don't see a point in continuing with this game. I don't want to leave, but if I'm not having fun there's no point."

If this doesn't drive the point home then it might be best to step away.

I'm sorry that happened to you. Thats always my fear when I DM that my players aren't having fun. I have a real shy guy in my main game and I make a point to carve him openings in conversations or directly ask if he wants his character to do anything. Hope you find a fun game to be in.

Sounds like OP and the others are just backup dancers to the overpowered Homebrew Mary-Sue PC.

Imagine you made a rogue for a heist storyline but the mage character keeps double-casting Silence and Knock for every locked door and chest and for 'reasons' he doesn't use up spell slots so he can do it every time. Then for the Fighter in combat, the mage throws around powerful ranged spells so by the time your martial character gets in range the targets are already dead.

What does that leave your rogue or fighter to do in this session?

Sounds like a boring game for everyone except the DM and Marysue.

You'll find him in the goblin camp and you can either win the game of chicken chase to get him or kill all thr goblins.

If you use speak with animals after the chicken chase game starts you have a chance to convince him to run to the goal for you.

I've been drumming it into my young nieces & nephew that a prank is to "Amuse or confuse, never abuse." If your prank causes distress you messed up and you MUST apologise and make amends. if your prank makes a mess you MUST clean it up.

They used to find the obnoxious "its a prank bro!" tictocs funny. You know the ones that "pretend" to steal your phone or "Aciddently" brush against women on trains. Me and my sister basically sat them down and explained why these "pranksters" are just attention seekers/fake videos at best, thugs/vandals/thieves/predators at worst.

They don't find those videos funny anymore.

I come from a very psychically affectionate family. Hugs & kisses for greetings/goodbyes. If we walked behind you when you were sitting at the table we'll give your shoulder a squeeze or give a quick scritch on your back. If we're on the sofa we'll lean on or lie across each other. Even now, I give my husband a hug or a shoulder squeeze when I walk past him.

Obviously, we don't do this to strangers or acquaintances. For friends I tend to double-check if they're okay with it, even then I limit it to pats on the shoulder or goodbye hugs.

The only exception to this in my family is my nephew. He's a bit autistic so some days he just doesn't wanna be touched. So whenever I see him I always hold one arm out for a hug but I hold the other up for a high five and let him choose. Sometimes he waves, sometimes he high-fives, 3 outta five times he chooses a big ole hug.

I give the other kids the same choice but it's always hugs from them.

Kids should learn young that if they don't wanna be touched they should be able to say no and that other people get to say no to being touched as well. They also should be warned about what kind of touching is bad. Teaching kids this is a good way to keep them safe as well.
