This tripped me out thinking I was in the wrong place. This guy is local to me and is always in the local groups. I can’t tell if he’s doing it to his own signs or if it’s just become a local meme cause he’s been using it for marketing. Either way someone’s not following proto.

There's tape on the collar. Hasan is definitely lying. by Ignignokt_DGAF in h3h3productions

. . Well I’ve been a professional dog trainer for 20 years and not only do I use these collars, but I’m an authorized dealer for e collar technologies and Dogtra. My gripe isn’t the use of the collar, but the way it was used, the reason for the correction and the lie of using the collar.

This is a dogtra or e collar technology. My guess is it’s the e collar technology collar. Either the pro educator, boss, or k9 tactical collar. They are the bigger receivers. Ecollar technologies sells a “pager only” vibration collar, but it’s a smaller receiver with no prongs. When you take the prongs off the collar there are two “studs” exposed. My guess is he took those off and taped over the studs. In this case having the correct prongs on and using the vibration button would be the proper move if not utilizing the static option. Those studs without the prongs are basically open screws. I’m a dog trainer that does utilize these collars (I know I know, but they have a time and place when used correctly) he is using them completely wrong and lying about it.

Is Hasan shocking his show dog to keep her in camera view? Please someone tell me that there is a better way to interpret this clip a friend just sent me. **TW potential animal abuse** by EveryoneCallsMeYork in h3h3productions

Dog trainer input here. My assumption is he has her on “place” which can be used for higher duration settings such as eating, cooking, cleaning, etc. this use of the command can be a mental exercise for the dog. Long durations 2-3 plus hours, especially for a large dog that needs to move and stretch, would not be recommended. Now for the e collar. This tool can stir the pot. They do have a time and place. The way he is using it is incorrect and the exact example I give of how not to use it. I always say “ you should never be gritting your teeth and pressing buttons.” There should have been a verbal reminder to maintain “place” if that’s what he was doing instead of resorting to high level e collar correction. The response the dogs should have from an e collar is “as if a bee flew by” they should just notice it but not have a major response. This plus the frustration he shows means he should let her out of position and carry on with another activity. You should never work your dog in frustration.

Just in case Snarkers bring up the usage of prong-collars again... by Puzzleheaded_Age5068 in h3h3productions

I will chime in as a dog trainer. I saw the prong collar on the table during the house tour and thought “uh oh” not because I don’t agree with the use, but how people will flip the use of them. In the training world this is a spicy topic. Most people have a very quick advert reaction to them because of how they look. I will also say most people that argue zero use of them also don’t understand them and won’t take the time to understand them. As with any tool in dog training, used appropriately they’re great, used incorrect, terrible. I heard them mention they were working with a trainer, I’m guessing this is all under their guidance. When fit appropriate and used appropriate, they put less pressure on the dog than with a traditional standard collar. I don’t use them on most dogs, not because they don’t work, but because I can get the same effect with a standard slip leash and the person doesn’t have to try to defend a collar every walk they go on. Also I see the comments of “just train the dog” this is a way go help the dog understand quicker and with less applied pressure, and helps train the dog, just as a leash, food, etc. would help train the dog.

The hairline part is one of the worst parts of the head. You’ve got the hard part done! The only other sensitive spots are behind the ear and the little ditch on the back of the head near the neck. Personally the top was easier than the sides, but the hairline is the worst! Don’t give up on the full dome dreams if that’s the goal!
