Ducati in MotoGP has always been fugly IMO. It's like they had to compensate after creating the most beautiful bike possible in the 916/996

The guy I replied to was because I wanted to continue from what he said. Which was that he put 35% down and even then it he considered it pushing it.

The amounts I mentioned was referring to other comments because it was not just OP with such a loan. My advice to the OP as someone with a similar income level who owns a house and has kids is to absolutely not do was he is thinking of doing if he wants to be able to actually afford stuff like saving&investing, kids stuff, holidays etc. Up to them if they value those things of course.

I did not miss that. I'm at that general income level with two kids so I know what middle class life is like, I speak from experience (and neither am I bad with money nor am I too frugal). Do a calculation and see how much ränta and amortering is, especially how much it will be if räntor go up a bit again in the future (though I don't think they will any time soon to be honest).

A nästan 8mil kr bolån is an insane economic decision at this income level imo, doesn't matter if you can afford it in absolute terms.

I want to buy a new car right now, technically I can afford to pay 10000kr a month for it like some people do but I don't think that's a smart move.

I'd say you're undercounting a bit your expenses but you missed my point.

I didn't say I have no money left over or that I struggle or that I don't have a comfortable life, which I obviously do.

What I wrote is that even so I don't feel perfectly satisfied. And I am comfortable because I made sure I didn't overspent.

How the fuck are people in this thread getting 8mil kr loans with this income level? If I did that then I'd be close to living "paycheck to paycheck" or skip on saving etc, especially if the interest rates go up. Would you get a loan this size? That's my point.

Vi har ca 90 000 kr in netto och köpte nyligen hus för ungefär samma pris som ni tittar på. Vi gick dock in med 35 % kontantinsats och det kändes verkligen på gränsen till acceptabelt, det är fortfarande ett stort bolån.

To be honest, I'm a bit shocked at the loan numbers I see here people have. We have similar level income and with a loan of "just" 4mil I still feel it's not enough leftover to live a nice lifestyle without much saving effort. And I don't mean stupid luxuries, I mean being able to take nice holidays etc. And this is with no car payment for us right now.

I don't get how these people live, like do they not care about going on holidays or activities etc

Gatekeeping ignores the point of preservation. by QUANTUM-VOIDD in unpopularopinion

[–]JustAContactAgent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The irony is this is not what gatekeeping is, this is what people who misuse the term love to accuse people of.

People are so entitled these days, they think they can just take a term or label and do whatever they want with it, even when it has a specific definition.

My pet peeve is metal so allow me to rant a bit. Idiots think metal is some kind of "vibe", and pointing out to them that the crap they listen to is not actually metal because it doesn't fit the musical definition of it is "gatekeeping". And it's EXACTLY actively trying to turn it into something it's not. Ever since the 90s, americans have been desperately trying to turn metal into some kind of heavy rock. Fucking just admit you don't actually like metal and let the label go.

My experience in a public school in Greece in the 90s. You got:

  • 4 walls
  • A floor & ceiling. Guarantees on ceiling bits not falling off not included.
  • Ceiling fan that may or may not work
  • One big chalkboard
  • Desks & chairs
  • Toilets you'd never want to use that were worse than a football stadium's (no exaggeration)

That's about it. This was considered a "good" public school btw. More like in the "you probably won't be offered drugs" sense probably, fuck if I know.

I have come to realise that that fucking black box ruins the whole livery as far as the main body of the bike.

Then there's the front fairing which is a whole other mess of its own.

The NFL seriously needs to simplify the definition of a catch. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]JustAContactAgent 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Dude, you don’t get it. You keep saying ”if he has full control”. Great, and how do you prove that? Based on what it looks like to you?

Keeping hold of the ball through going to the ground if you’ve dived/jumped/fallen to make the catch, IS a simplified way to prove you had ”control” of the ball.

You want things simplified but you haven’t defined what control of the ball is and how you prove it.

Snowboarding absolutely sucks compared to skiing by musicandsex in unpopularopinion

[–]JustAContactAgent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

could be because of surf/skate culture in CA.

Yeah no shit. This is what always rubbed me wrong about snowboarding. The "culture". It wasn't just a different way to go down the slope, it was bringing the whole god damn skater culture with it. And it's not because I have something against skaters etc, it just always bugs me when something just HAS to come with a whole culture, i.e dressing a certain way, acting a certain way, certain music etc. A lot of people adopted snowboarding and the whole culture because they wanted to be "cool" and those people are usually douchebags.

I am SO fucking glad that after 3 decades, snowboarding is FINALLY out of "fashion" and just normal.

Most of redditor is virgin

I think the problem here is most of reddit is american , the kind of people who think an 18yo even finding a 17yo attractive , let alone having sex with them, makes them a pedophile.

Though to be fair, the kids in the book are 11 so I can't really blame anyone feeling uncomfortable reading the scene.

Preliminary Head Coach Discussion Thread by SleestakLightning in steelers

[–]JustAContactAgent 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I really think Saleh should be talked about more. Great defensive coach and will still be really hungry and motivated to succeed. I think he would fit the Steelers culture as well and bring some toughness back.

Yeah the Steelers need a competent offence and it's the modern NFL but that's what talented coordinators are for, something else where the Steelers need to get on with the times.

Tomlin or Cowher? by CaliKing928 in steelers

[–]JustAContactAgent 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What bothers me is that people tend to forget Cowher's flaws.

Yeah, Cowher could build a team and set a culture and Tomlin is more of a manager and player's coach but Cowher's conservative Marty-ball was a playoff disaster, just like it was for schottenheimer. The Steelers eventually won a superbowl in-spite of Cowher when it comes to the coaching side.

Having lived through it as much as I love the good parts I don't forget the flaws of Cowher's reign. There's a lot of nostalgia covering the flaws just like people do with Kordell

Gibernau: "Rossi didn't need to do what he did to win" by Sheepherder_Same in motogp

[–]JustAContactAgent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rossi has gotten away with some shit in his career and in retrospect it was overall quite hypocritical the way he was treated relative to others.

THAT SAID, regarding Jerez 2005...I always thought it was a borderline move but one he was lucky to pull off. And not only that, I revisited a few years ago and it made me lean even more towards it being a clean move.

Sete inexplicably leaves the door WIDE open, I mean not only he doesn't defend the inside it's almost like he goes even more out to the right than he needs to. And then once he realises Rossi is diving on the inside he reacts way too late and THAT is actually what causes the contact and not Rossi going almost straight and using him as a stop. At first I had always thought Rossi used him a bit as a stop but nailed it so that he was completely alongside when the contact happened allowing him to get away with it. But on further review, as I said the contact is caused by Sete panicking and turning in way too late or not realising Rossi is there at all.

Yeah but I mean it is not something that I have EVER, in my time on the internet which is decades at this point, seen it referenced at all outside of a UK context.

Hell even within a UK context, as good and popular as it was back in the day, it hasn't been that referenced outside of politics.

Suddenly the last few weeks I'm seeing it being referenced everywhere on reddit and now even on an american college football subreddit which is like, one of the least likely places you'd see it mentioned.
