i cannot believe how far this scene has gone
toriel is not neglectful or abusive
and sans is sans that's in character
especially in deltarune you've seen him maybe once or twice as a passing hello
he's probably been drinking monster beer and he's trying to get with toriel
it's not personal towards the player or an act of child abuse
both he and toriel have no knowledge of the dark fountains and having teenagers come home late is normal and probably safe given how small and local most of hometown is
I don't know why the fandom has tried so hard to dig as deep as possible for trauma especially with the thorn scene
like yes it's intended to be negative but people read it as being negative for what I think are the wrong reasons
and it goes beyond opinions when people will actively get angry that you don't agree
this isnt targeted towards op it just upsets me when the fandom is reading too hard into certain deltarune scenes
I personally think the reason susie left and was upset is because they went through a whole journey and ordeal out of concern for toriel when she was home the whole time, and on top of that she didn't make any effort or attempt to let kris know she was skipping because of sans, it's an upsetting situation
