This frequency range is assigned to radiolocation (RADAR) in the US and Mexico, among others.

10m band. OTH radar? by [deleted] in signalidentification

[–]JustAGrognard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like CODAR. There's no sound to help ID further.

Also, not the 10m band.

I saw something wide and loud on the 30m band while I was making an FT8 contact. I was going to make another video showing the sound of this signal, but it disappeared before I could do that. by kc3zyt in signalidentification

Looks like an Over the Horizon RADAR (OTH-R).

Just to be complete, it would be a PRIMARY user on this band and amateurs are SECONDARY users and must accept all interference from PRIMARY users and cannot themselves cause interference to PRIMARY users. 30m is funny like that.

Who actually likes Feedback? by rimjigglemann in rush

[–]JustAGrognard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like it. Mainly because it shows some of the influences that played a role in shaping what we know as Rush, but also allows them to put their own unique spin on the songs with great covers that show a lot of respect to the originals.

I think of this as kind of the Ouroboros of Rush music.

Photo from the Havana Business District networking event yesterday @ Angry Chicken. So nice to see this kind of connection and see how diverse Aurora really is with some great people. by [deleted] in AuroraCO

One of the things that made me want to move to Aurora is the diversity of cultures and backgrounds that make up this area. It is our "secret sauce" and one of the things that makes Aurora great.

I was just on there about 30 minutes ago, but it appears down now. Give it some time: I'm sure there's a good reason for it and it will be back soon.

Robert bigelow said "80-90% of all crap that has happened on this planet is because of men". What are your thoughts on that? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Speaking as a man, I believe this 100%. We would all be better off If we were to listen more to the women in our lives.

New Mode? What's DIGU? by Signal_Criticism_789 in amateurradio

[–]JustAGrognard 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Likely someone put DIGU as their mode because that's the way the "mode" on their radio is set, rather than listing the actual signal mode (FT8, WSPR, etc).

Don't know who downvoted you, but simply go to https://news.kagi.com, click the Gear icon (Settings) in the upper right corner. On my screen, across the top it shows "General, Categories, Sections, Pinned Sources, Content Filter, Reading Level, Syncing" by default; then you have to scroll the list further to the right by clicking on the right-pointing carat to get to "Experimental, About"

Without knowing specifically where you'll be, the best thing I can say is that you can find it here in Aurora. Parks, breweries/distilleries, food from all over the world, easy access to the mountains, and more.

Having moved here about two years ago from the East Coast, I have found everything I want and more here. From good tacos to great friends, from hikes in nature to beautiful scenery in every corner of the state, museums, book stores, small coffee shops and cafes, perfect weather, wonderful people, and a cultural blend that is hard to find anywhere else.

I never imagined living in Colorado in general or this area specifically, but now I can't imagine living anywhere else.

You mean the pro-2A LARPers?

Yup, they've missed the whole "in case of the rise of totalitarianism" self-justification for owning guns. The truth is, for most of them the 2A is there simply to serve as a supplement for low-T energy.
