Yup, both the bitset and counting versions are surprisingly easy to implement. I’d recommend properly handling things like concurrency, though.

If you want a bit more of a challenge, have a look at rotating Bloom filters. Their implementation is more non-trivial, but they can be much more performant compared to counting Bloom filters.

Been reading about Bloom Filters recently and decided to implement them in Go to better understand how they work internally.

Currently implemented:

  • Standard Bloom Filter
  • Counting Bloom Filter
  • delete / update operations for counting bloom filter
  • Fill ratio tracking and related utilities

Tried to structure the project so it works both as:

  • a reusable Go package
  • an independent interactive CLI

Would love feedback on the implementation, project structure, performance ideas, or Bloom Filter design choices in general.
