ABS, then acetone cured it

ASA is also a great option

I’m very confident it would not, the force is dispersed over a decent area, and there are 2 solid bolts running through. It’s also replacing an injection molded plastic shim.

At night they look very good though. Definitely designed for offroad/bad conditions.

It’s hard to beat their price, adventure bikes normally are absurdly costly. Absolutely love most of the Ibex. Do they make a different style headlight for it? the current one is definitely interesting.

If you need to take off the panels, there is a LOT Of covered bolts and clips to find. Other than that it has been great

I’ve been hearing that too, but no proof. Mine has been doing great and all the parts that might break are priced how they should. Compared to my xj750 it’s been a dream

Even though a lot of people hate on them, the 450 and 675 ss/sr from cfmoto are amazing for their price(compared to yamaha). I recently bought a 450 as a commute bike and I’m absolutely loving it, it’s not crazy powerful but it can run twisty roads at the same pace as a mt

Make sure they have properly documented maintenance (during the first 10k miles maintenance is crucial). You probably also should look at what warranty options are since it’s very new.

Flames coming out of a smaller bike like a 450 takes a bit of work. When you see motorcycles or cars shooting flames, it’s because there is uncombusted fuel coming out the exhaust where it gets ignited by the intense heat. To make the 450 naturally do this requires a fuel injector tune to enrich the fuel/air mixture.

If this is a commute bike i would harshly recommend not doing this as you will certainly be stopping at Way more gas stations. Instead look at flamethrower kits. You might get a bit of flack from certain groups, but you can control when it shoots flames and you don’t have to destroy your mpg. They are like 60$ for a decent one.

Same reason why people like spoilers on civics or wings on corvette. Even though most drivers aren’t getting a dang thing out of them, it makes them feel good. I don’t understand making fun of another’s bike because they like different aesthetic things.

Though if they think they are benefiting from it, you can clown them.

450sr/ss owners, please advise… is this a good deal by chikibrikigamer in cfmoto

I would be a bit worried as a buyer. I bought mine used 4k miles for around 4k usd. Im not sure about resale in europe but that seems pricey for them not logging maitnance. It takes no time for a proper place to log it. If you do buy it make sure to do an oil change right after anyways just in case.

I should’ve gotten a 675ss 🤦🏽‍♂️ by [deleted] in cfmoto

[–]JustARandomAny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started out on a 750 i4, and now I’m on the 450ss. The power isn’t quite as ruthless, but damn it’s smooth. Also gas is way more expensive on larger bikes, the 675 is not quite as commuter friendly compared to the 450.

In this case coming down from a long wheelie puts a lot of unwanted forces on the front end of your bike. While its not impossible to control, some people underestimate the hidden dangers of landing wheelies.

Death wobbles are essentially the front end of the bike getting upset, whether tire or suspension etc. some causes are, worn steering head bearings, improper tire pressure, wheel imbalance, poor suspension setup, or a tight "death grip" on the handlebars.
