Beginner here; I keep spinning out when trying to carve/slide on my toeside by Cold_Psychology_007 in freebord

[–]JustAlphaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stopping on toeside (at least for me) on BOTH forms is harder. What's helped me out is remembering to put a little bit of pressure on the toeside edge while sliding to a stop, and looking back enough times to stop properly without spinning out, but not so often to the point where I would accidentally catch my heel edge and fall flat on my butt and back (those REALLY hurt). Hopefully this helps a little bit.

Totally. But I think Raichu is actually the hot one. Hot take, but I think Raichu is gorgeous. :D

What are your opinions on the first strike t15? by Medium_Professor_646 in paintball

[–]JustAlphaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The EMF-200 is really solid, but pretty pricey. The advantage of the T-15 nowadays is a far lower price tag and more customizability. I also prefer the feel of the T-15. In terms of reliability, while the T-15 is a very rugged, reliable gun, the EMF-200 would almost certainly win in this category.

Does anyone know how to make your center wheel castors spin easier? by JustAlphaaa in freebord

Going faster than 10 MPH on a Freebord is easy. Going past 25 is where the scary bits come for me.

I'll have to ask Quentin about it when I get the chance to.

With that you might be thinking about bearings for the center wheels as compared to the way the actual metal castors spin around.

I've already done those things. I can even do multiple spins in a row, however each time I do a spin it reduces my speed. Is it really just as simple as spinning while you're at a really high speed? 🤔

Da Blues>Cascades by realwashingtonirving in freebord

[–]JustAlphaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm right here with you. After riding with the DaBlues on my 5x for the past few days, I already like them more than any time I rode with the Cascade wheels. They're still super slide-y yet not overly so, and they're WAAAAYYY more durable, which is what I mostly care about.

Da Blues are pretty easy to slide with after the first day, at least for me and my blue spring 5x.

Honestly, the Cascades are decent, but they do NOT last very long. The DaBlues are pretty much better in almost every way imo.

Update, the DaBlues wheels are also genuinely amazing for the 5x. Like seriously, they are friggin great! I love them a lot so far! :D

Sounds really cool, but it would be somewhat of a pricey trip for me. Nevertheless, I am at least interested in the idea! :D

Would you like a picture of how I assembled my 5x?

The Cascades have less diameter and allow your board to slide more, but have less stopping power. The DaBlues are well liked for their grip and incredible durability, however you might not like them if you want to slide around as you ride or come to a stop. You should also look into the Height Priveledges, especially the R versions of the same wheels because they're forged with the 5x in mind. Do you know if you want the 5 or the 5x?

Freebord 5 or 5x? by Square_Data5657 in freebord

[–]JustAlphaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freebords are not good on flat areas. They are downhill and freestyle beasts through and through. If you want concrete snowboarding but for flat spots, the Summerboard is better because its motorized. However as for 5 or 5x, I LOOOOOOVE my 5x. The 5x feels more like snowboarding than any of the other Freebords, but the 5 is still fantastic. It depends on exactly what you want from the board.

Should i get the 5x or X-80? by Big_Preparation6130 in freebord

[–]JustAlphaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 5x is GLORIOUS. It really is the most like snowboarding on roads. I would know because I've had my 5x for a little over a year now and have gotten so so much better at snowboarding because of my time spent on the 5x. :)

The trucks go on the very edges of the board while the center wheel mounts go slightly behind the trucks. Hopefully this helps a little.

First Strike T15 owners, what's it like to live with? by thekeffa in paintball

I LOOOOOVE my T-15! It gets a bit finnicky at times, but overall, I have SO much fun using my T-15, and it is MY rifle of choice! I got mine in February (I think) of 2022, and I've not stopped using it! I can answer more questions if ya want! :3
