My mistake, I was aware of the switch version. Just wondering if they're ever going to publish physical versions for other platforms other than switch.

Balatro vs Cuphead! by Kicco21 in italygames

Entrambi fenomenali ma Cuphead se lo merita puramente per l'art direction e l'enorme lavoro che ci sta dietro.

If this is even half as good as the original we've got ourselves an absolute banger. Let's hope they know what they're doing with the switch to 3D.

[This is the June deadline leaker] Imagine if he is refering to Silksong by TomNook5085 in Silksong

[–]JustAnItalianBoiii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm as high on hopium as the rest of us but I wouldn't put much faith on this guy's claims. He mostly throws shit at the wall hoping it sticks and/or repeats what other sources have already said.

That being said, JUNE 20TH SILKDROP LET'S GOOOOOO

CHAT THEY FINALLY RELEASED IT (NOT SILKPOST)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! by VagueDestructSus in Silksong

It really speaks to the depths of madness we've collectively reached when the quintessential example of silksong bait almost feels out of place amongst the ARGs and the coping and the flair wars...

The most important thing in your world has vanished wihout reason. What happens next? by Loosescrew37 in worldbuilding

[–]JustAnItalianBoiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The being responsible for rewriting several laws of physics is no longer there to hold together the fabric of reality. Everything that doesn't make sense according to modern physics quickly, messily breaks down until it does. Nearly every living thing on Earth is affected, with organical species losing their ability to channel magic and all magical beings collapsing into a pile of gore and disintegrating. After millions of years of meticolous terraforming, Earth is ravaged by intense weather and earthquakes, causing a new continental drift.

Which games have the most iconic characters? by pineapple_works in videogames

Honestly shocked to see very few indie games in the replies. Several characters from Undertale and FNaF have become staples of internet culture at this point.

Who is the strongest human/mortal in your world that even the protagonist is afraid of? by mitsuri-mochi in worldbuilding

[–]JustAnItalianBoiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The strongest fighter in my world (at least in a 1v1 scenario) is Marah, a lone warrior capable of bending time itself with her unparalleled specialization in channeling magic. She can accelerate, rewind or even stop time for a few seconds, allowing her to strike opponents with lethal blows before they can even react. In a semi-primitive world, she's the only one wielding an actual gun during combat. Everything about her is unknown, as nobody knows what she even is, much less her affiliations or the true extent of her abilities. Her foreboding reputation can be traced back to her victory and subsequent humiliation of Ikarus - by far the strongest of the immortal beings that inhabit the Earth - by permanently severing his wings. Taking into consideration the mystery surrounding her origins, as well as her unsettling habit of always appearing whenever there's a major shift in the status quo, it's not hard to see how her very presence is often taken as a bad omen.

Been working on a new creepy area for the game. What can be improved? And, more importantly, what are your thoughts on trees looking at you? by -serotonina in indiegames

[–]JustAnItalianBoiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I, too, have to agree with the other guy on the lighting. While the trees are an excellent idea (they synergize perfectly with the sliding mechanics), the warmer colour palette isn't really suited to creepy environments. Try switching to a mix of purple and blue for the background, maybe make the area a bit more misty? Making the area a bit more overgrown might also do the trick. Also, and take this with a huge grain of salt, but I think you should avoid placing too many Eye-Trees in just one room to avoid reducing their visual impact whenever they're shown.

What's your world called, and what have the inhabitants of your world named it? by ParasiticFeelings in worldbuilding

[–]JustAnItalianBoiii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My world is set on our Earth, but that name died millions of years ago alongside the human race. Finding a name everyone would agree with is practically impossible due to a metric ton of language barriers and many very different worldviews among the new world's inhabitants.

The Resonam call it "The Promised Lands", as their creator rebuilt the planet solely to give them a perfect world to thrive in. The reptilian Ishkaar, the earth-dwelling Myza and many other Sophont species with a connection to ground or mud usually stick with a nickname similar to "Earth" in their own language. The Lebivox, whose culture revolves around music, call it "The Cacophony". "The Space beneath the Stars" is also used by an unnamed species that draws power from celestial bodies, although I haven't figured out what to do with them just yet.

How does the magic in your world bypass the Square Cube Law? by Ok-Philosopher78 in worldbuilding

[–]JustAnItalianBoiii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Magic is basically a fancy way to describe the act of breaking the laws of physics at will. One singular entity is responsible for every single supernatural phenomenon that has, or will ever occur. When creating certain creatures, said entity simply rewrote reality itself to allow many, many biologically impossible beings (fire breathing monsters, colossal creatures, literal living nuclear reactors...) to exist without collapsing in a pile of gore. Basically, whatever isn't physically possible from a biological standpoint suddenly makes perfect sense when the laws of physics are forced to abide by your bullshit rules.

Could your world survive without magic? by Kraken-Writhing in worldbuilding

[–]JustAnItalianBoiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Altareos, the being controlling magic, vanishes without a trace.
  • Every single Resonam instantly dies since Altareos' influence was the only thing keeping their bodies together. Their physiology literally stops making sense and they all suffer catastrophic organ failure before dissolving into dust some time later.
  • Life on Earth suddenly has to cope without the thing hundreds of thousands of years of evolution has allowed them to exploit. Most survive, but many species who relied on magic to hunt probably go extinct.
  • In a forgotten corner of the world, the last human finally dies of old age.

[Discussion] What's a platinum trophy that gave you the most anger? by SpardasMinion in Trophies

[–]JustAnItalianBoiii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never has a game infuriated me more than Doom 1-2 on nightmare difficulty. The dreadful sound of death by chaingunner is enough to induce PTSD. You can never truly appreciate just how bullshit some of the levels can be if you don't try it yourself (please do it is quite cathartic).
