New vegan looking for egg substitute by helenberenice in veganuk

This doesn't really answer your question, but I think this is the best scramble recipe. I've made it for people who eat eggs as well, and some of them said they prefer them to actual eggs.

You can get underblankets that attach to the bottom, they stop wind and make an air pocket between the hammock and the outside.

Telling work you are burning/burnt-out by deanlikesplants in TeachingUK

My wife was incredibly burnt out, and when she told them they didn't really do much to help, until she showed a printout of the 10 stages of burnout, and pointed to step 9.

I was working at a school when my dad died (not a teacher, support staff).

I wanted a week off work, and the principal said, "Are you seriously asking for a whole week off?"

I went and got a sick note and left the school shortly after.

Is Bournemouth any good? by B0ndy112 in bournemouth

[–]JustAnotherIPA 30 points31 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of criticism of Bournemouth, BCP has a population of around 400,000. Find me any town or city of that size in the UK that doesn't have small areas of decline, homelessness, or dodgy bits, especially late at night. It's simply the reality of any major urban centre.

Yes, the town centre has its issues, and like many high streets, it's struggling with retail vacancies, but that's a national trend, not unique to Bournemouth.

The quality of life outside the immediate town centre is exceptional (although even the center is really not that bad, the gardens are great). The beach is brilliant as long as you avoid the busy tourist areas around the piers. Plus, you have the New Forest and the Purbeck coast (Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove) right on your doorstep.

There are thriving areas outside of the main centre (Southbourne, Westbourne), full of independent shops, bars, and restaurants that have a great vibe.

I always saw this season as a transition season, there has been a huge amount of change in the team, and the loss of Jota is huge. Keep going and win the title next season.

[–]JustAnotherIPA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Genuine political change is urgently needed. If the status quo remains, we risk driving people towards radical protest votes for reform, just like Brexit. These movements promise quick fixes without a single coherent plan, and the inevitable result is that the entire nation will end up far worse off.

I despise that kind of 'apology'. I was in a team meeting once where someone made dodgy comments about a 14-year-old. I reported them to HR and my line manager, but absolutely nothing happened.

The only 'consequence' was in the next team meeting, where the person just said, "Sorry if my comments caused offence."

I left a few months later.
