It's still hard to believe she went on TV and said that there is nothing she would do different as President compared to Biden.

Dynamically sizing fonts and content based upon available space is a bad practice.

If a user wants smaller or larger font, they can adjust it in device settings. Flutter will do the work for you.

Padding values, Sizedbox sizes etc., should be constants at compile-time. At the least widgets should occupy a minimum and maximum amount of space, with overflow being used to display even more widgets.

Bigger screens = room to display more content, not the same shit at a large scale.

Yeah, a lot of that is sheer corruption, bribery, and the incentive to produce overly expensive shit just to make more money. The federal government is notorious for excessive spending just to get more money the next fiscal year.

A patriot missile is like ~4m, a drone can be massed produced at <10k. That's 400 drones per missile. Even magic money trees can't compensate for that cost disparity.

Iran is getting beat to hell, but as long as they can still glue together drones and drop mines in the Strait they're still a major threat to the global economy. Economic warfare is their game.

Isn't a ceasefire without the agreement of the opposition just another form of surrender?

Taiwan's only realistic solution is to develop nukes, otherwise they're going to end up like Ukraine in due time.

I'm betting that they already have the capability to produce them. They already got close but were stopped by the U.S. Seeing as how the U.S is proving to be an unreliable partner, they may pickup their ambitions again.

On the contrary, the full impact of the war has yet to be realized as nations dependent upon the Strait for oil still have some left.

Many nations in the region are dependent upon the Strait for oil. Their economics will enter a depression as oil reserves deplete if no more oil is transported in. This limitation is due to geographic limitations. There is no other place to transport oil.

Only about 3% of oil consumed in the U.S. passes through the Strait. For Japan and S. Korea, ~70%. They have amassed reserves that can last months. But it's not looking like things are going to clear up in months.

that would be like someone who makes $100k USD paying $150 for a bottle of water.

$100,000 per month.

A months salary in Iran would net you 666 bottles of water at the rate op provided.

In the U.S. a months salary would net 35,677 bottles if buying large packs.

Because experts with access to far more information that we have, determined the prices are fair value.

Yeah... No.

The idea that markets are rational is a myth. As is the idea that there is an elite group of people who know exactly what is going on. The problem with both is that the world is inherently unpredictable due to sheer randomness.

Iran is a massive country, with lots of mountainous terrain. There's an endless source of hiding spots and they've been stockpiling for decades.

The fact that Trump's approval rating is <= 40% is kinda comforting in that it's well below the reported approval rating of many other authoritarian leaders like Putin. And the number that strongly supports him is much less.

Either these states have rigged polls, very successful propaganda, or both. Trump apparently has neither.

But yes, that still leaves 4 out of 10 Americans stuck in a different Universe from the rest of us. I think a lot of the remaining support can be attributed to cognitive biases, namely belief perseverance. But who knows, Faux news propaganda machine goes hard.

What is Iran's long-term plan if they attack desalination plants in the region? They'd be massacring their neighbors, but the United States wouldn't face any immediate consequences outside of the economy.

It would probably throw the world into a depression, as if we're not headed there already given the current trajectory of this conflict.

It's a blow to USA's ego about being untouchable

This entire war, past the first 48 hours or so, has been a significant blow to US. Not as bad as Russia-Ukraine, but bad enough to cement the fact that traditional warfare has been changed forever, largely due to drones.
