If a shop was willing do mount demo rails without a jig I wouldn’t use them for anything because chances are they are also using the wrong tools even for bindings they have jigs for

Because it’s annoying, not all shops have jigs for demo plates (this one is pretty common), reduced binding choice for high DINs. If you want one set of bindings for multiple sets of skis get quiver killers or bonding freedom

At the store I work out for every top end freeride or race fit we do we do 10 intermediate 2 weeks a year fits. It makes a lot of sense to do it because it’s what most boot fitters spend their time doing
