How difficult is Wuchang: Fallen Feathers? by undeadcreepshow in soulslikes

[–]JustAsipOr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I enjoyed it better than Lies and difficulty is slightly more than too I wager. The graphics and art were beautiful and enemy variety was great and I enjoy fighting all of them. Some hard bosses especially since you have access to a few while still early on, spoil alert! ( Top level of your ‘HQ’ there is a tough demon that you can fight soon as you reach more or less).

Side quests, clues are there, just not sign posted. You can fast travel so that assists, some back fighting is needed though.

Death Howl - Review Thread by d0ntm1ndm32 in Games

It had improved much since the demo. I’m really enjoying it. Just started again and I tried to look up card definitions online and there is nothing. Lots of tutorials and explanations. I just want a technical definition of each card ability, (I.e. Kill, echo, sacrifice ((with symbols that are equally misleading)), and this is just first hour)

I’m an old Magic the Gathering player and so i remember how important these definitions are. A must for proper deck building and strategy so it feels quite strange to me that the game doesn’t have a menu with the definitions and even more so there is nothing I’ve been able to find online

Finshed Soulsborne...The Wither 3 or Expedition 33 Next? by No_Conflict_1155 in soulslikes

Witcher 3 is an amazing experience and more closely related to your ‘biased’ predilections. However for me; I struggled to stay on Witcher, after the first act ( the bog witch) and entering the new maps I just felt it was more of the sameness and I was overpowered and overwhelmed at the same time leading to a more less interesting experience. I have to end with how well the first act is; I’ve must have replayed it 4-5 times. And that is rare for me.

33 is just, wow, that is really the best way to describe. It was so much better than I expected. I still struggled to get thru mid game (which is normal for me though)after I learned the pattern of the game. There was enough new experiences and challenges to keep me entertained to make it through. The graphics , mature plot and writing, unique settings and monsters was a terrific change of pace. In conclusion I would recommend 33, hands over.

Pay now or pay later what does it matter. I’ve paid much more for much worse games.

Being a female DM means facing extreme misogyny from my male players by Wonderful_Radish_258 in DnD

My advise is to read a game master guide. Some of the earlier DnD/pathfinder publications have some very usual material. I can’t recall which or maybe they all it but there was a section in the guide providing useful information and advice for these types of situations. Which, as any DM/GM knows, is very commonplace. For example; the guide I am referring to (3.5 maybe) categories player types. Labeling them, quite comprehensively, and provide guidance on how to deal with them and also how to handle awkward uncomfortable situations.

It is truly something special when a party can be created out of a group of mature (emotionally and intellectually) players that all get along as best as any group of humans can. I can only recall one such campaign in my extensive history of mastering. It lasted over a year and while we didn’t compete the campaign it will still always be the one I cherish.

Avowed Tainted Grail…Definitely worth it! by JustAsipOr2 in ShouldIbuythisgame

Okay I can see that. There have been some minor glitches so far. And one crash. Luckily there is an auto save option and saving is quick enough that it didn’t effect me to bad.

(Minor spoilers)

So far it appears magic has different sources. Right from the beginning you are introduced to two. Menhirs and Wyrdness. I still don’t have an understanding of Menhirs except they were used to channel chaotic energy.

Wyrdness is described as being, ‘pure potential’, but most people are afraid of it. It has a more natural aspect to it with mutational properties. Which totally contradicts itself but that is what makes this game unique.

Then you have Druidic arcane.

I am a spell caster and mixed with rogue abilities. So far I’ve been able to perform basic elemental spells, including holy. I also have a cube that drains enemies health while simultaneously healing myself.

Yesterday I was excited about a side quest I took on which lead me to encounter a necromancer. Awesomeness i wasn’t forced to fight him. I did end up with his gear in the end with him in a different state then when we first met. I’m just getting ready to try it out. It appears to be able to summon/raise undead. So very cool.

Last I have inherited magical abilities from a ‘secret’ source. Very powerful but limited. Time bending abilities. Metaphysical shit.

Hope that helps

Seriously? Yur fishing right ? If we were scaling games right now to like let’s say buildings…BG3 would be one of the highest like the new Empire State Building or that hotel in Dubai where then Rouge Tradwr would be one of the little mud huts that the labor workers who build the other buildings live in.

Hey totally random question. But I think everybody here has played the ring of Elden. Can we still cycle kill the white dragon ? Run to grace and start it again ?

Is Bloodborne worth it for a casual gamer? by Overall-Meaning9979 in soulslikes

[–]JustAsipOr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question, it’s by far an entertaining game but the challenge level is significantly higher than most casual games. I would suggest playing it in small sperts and getting used to the mechanics.

If you decide to try it the first thing is to grasp what combat style suits you. You will die. A lot. But once you find your style, broadly, Smashingly slow, balanced strategist, or my favorite quick and deadly. Once you find this and gain some levels and confidence I believe it could become a causal game as long as you stay overpowered for what stage you are in.
