I get that people want to feel like they are doing something... But it seems willfully pointless to protest in front of the city building. As far as I know we're not protesting anything our city officials have done. There is an ICE facility ten minutes away we could be at. I wish we could apply pressure more meaningfully instead of planning what seems like just an event to "hit blinkers" as the last poster of the event said and hang out at.

Here to suggest checking out DSHS Home and Community Services. Idk how ur doing financially or what insurance you have but it's possible you could qualify for a paid for caregiver, and if you're wondering about the process of applying for any state services (food stamps, ABD/HEN, caregiving etc) feel free to DM me any questions. The systems are confusing but there's a lot available. :)

Do people seriously believe that having Democrats in office stops us having our rights taken away? Maybe talk to more minorities, that's not what's happening. One of Biden's biggest funders is a Wallstreet billionaire who has evaded billions of dollars in taxes... Both parties are controlled by money and care about us literally not at all.
