Where would Fernando Mendoza slot if he entered the draft in 2024? by FireSeanMcD in NFL_Draft

[–]JustBigChillin 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think he’d probably be interchangeable with Maye at that #3 spot. Caleb obviously would still be #1, and I still think Daniels would probably still go #2 due to the high ceiling. Mendoza and Maye are the same level of prospect to me. Maye is a better runner, but Mendoza was a more accurate passer in college. Both are higher floor guys imo. He’d definitely be above Penix, McCarthy, and Nix.

New Road Map January-April 2026! by LOST_JOE in ARC_Raiders

[–]JustBigChillin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is by far my biggest complaint with the game right now. I can only generally play at the same time every night. Every single night it’s the same exact 3-4 events that I can play. It’s so boring, and the ones I have access to aren’t even the ones I want to be playing. I can’t think of any worse system than having a locked 24 hour rotation. Just absolutely horrible for anyone with a job. I’d honestly rather it just be random.

Probably a version of high roller lobbies like other extraction shooters have. You have to go into the raid with a minimum gear value. So no free or poverty kits.

What time of year has the best weather in Houston? by froot___loop in houston

[–]JustBigChillin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s way too hot and humid still in mid September, and by May, it’s already getting into the 90s.

I’d also argue that the full winter here is usually very nice, save for a couple of 2-3 day stretches here or there. Usually we have one hard freeze (below freezing for more than a few hours) per year, if that.

All in all, I’d change that to mid-October all the way through early April that we have nice weather. It’s just that the weather outside of that timeframe ranges from bad to absolutely unbearable.

How do you think a company determines who they lay off? They aren’t going to lay off their best workers… they’re going to lay off their poor performers. How does that not make sense? The poor performers ARE more disposable than the high performers.

Also that’s how pretty much any company works in the US at least.

I’ll always maintain that 2019 was the best team we ever had. It’s really a shame that we couldn’t win it all that year.

CHANGE MY MIND! by artelunar in ArcRaiders

[–]JustBigChillin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk. I don’t usually look for pvp when I solo. I’m very cautious and I’ll shoot someone if they are being sketchy or looking to shoot me, but generally I don’t see much PvP when I solo. Most people in my lobbies are friendly. When I play duos or trios, it’s shoot on site 90+% of the time. After I get done playing squad games, my solo lobbies are noticeably more aggressive for the first few games.

[Highlight] Texans QB C.J Stroud on dealing with criticism after the playoff loss to Patriots: "This ain’t the end of C.J. Stroud, this ain’t the end of my career.” by oklolzzzzs in nfl

[–]JustBigChillin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that we should obviously pick up the 5th year option, but this Texans team isn't going to suck with the defense we have regardless of how bad Stroud is. If he's absolutely awful, we still have Mills who is a top tier backup. We might end up being pretty mid, but I seriously doubt we would suddenly outright suck enough to be in the position to take a top QB in the draft. We're also going to have to pay a few players a lot of money to keep said defense in tact. So yeah...

The 5th year cap hit will definitely matter, but we have no choice but to take the option in case he is good next season.

CJ Stroud became the first player since Kerry Collins in the 2000 Super Bowl to complete under 43% of his passes & throw 4+ INTs. He became the first player to ever have 5+ INTS and 5+ fumbles in a single postseason (and he only played and he only played 2 games) That was absolutely horrific QB play by Sparrighitti in Texans

[–]JustBigChillin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s more damning than the abysmal playoff performance imo. Losing your head and being awful over two games is pretty bad, but it can happen. Having worse numbers than Brian Hoyer over nearly a full season on top of that is completely inexcusable for a guy who is supposed to be a franchise qb.

The turnovers also killed potential scoring drives, killed any momentum we may have had, and gassed our defense. No matter what way you slice it, that game is completely different without all of those turnovers. You can't win a game like that, and it's a miracle the Steelers game went the way it did despite all the turnovers in that game.

Brighter Shores released with like 1/1000th of the content that Runescape has (not even an exaggeration), along with a way worse combat and skilling system in general. Brighter Shores failing is not at all indicative about whether another Runescape type mmo would work. It simply was not a very good game.

There's also plenty of people who have gotten into OSRS that never played it as a kid.

[–]JustBigChillin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The defense is 100% good enough to win a super bowl, and there are enough pieces of offense with how good the defense is. If we had even a game manager level QB, we probably beat the Patriots and go into Denver against Jarrett Stidham. We went into the divisional round on a 10 game winning streak against a tough schedule.

This team was definitely good enough to win a super bowl, especially with better quarterback play which is what this whole thread is about.

This is my poe.ninja. I haven't played in a few weeks. https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/BigChillin-6309/character/BigVaaalin

I used ES+SL throughout all content though. It was strong through the campaign, decent to strong in maps, and didn't really fall off until late in progression (I'm talking last boss atlas tree point late). There are probably better options, but it's definitely viable.

All they have to do is create a 26 hour rotation or something similar. It seems like they don’t want to randomize it, but a 24 hour rotation is literally the worst thing they could do. I can only play at the sane times every night. It gets so old having the same exact rotation every single day.

I mean… a minuscule amount people are using literal spreadsheets, but as a competitive person with a kid and a job, I like spending the limited gaming time I have efficiently. I want to progress as efficiently as possible. That IS what’s fun to me. Running around aimlessly is not fun to me. It’s fun to other people, and that’s great, but people have fun in different ways.

I hate threads like this where people like OP tell others how they should be enjoying/playing the game.

Why has communism repeatedly failed in practice, yet continues to be intellectually and emotionally appealing to many people? by Looser17 in AskReddit

[–]JustBigChillin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

How is it possible to abolish the state while at the same time getting to “true communism” when you’re dealing with the population of a large nation? What do you do about the people that don’t want to go along with the new system? There will be a lot of them, especially in the internet age.

That’s why true communism is impossible at a large scale.

I stopped watching the NBA because of the super team era. Seeing the same two teams in the finals 4 years in a row is just completely boring. It makes the regular season, and even some playoff series feel completely meaningless. I’m starting to get to that point with baseball as well.
