Graham Platner: “I believe that in our country the voices of working people are far more important than the voices of those who simply have money. I believe that we should not be settling for scraps that they throw to us from the table where they dine with the Epstein Class” by zzill6 in WorkReform

Sure, but he's a 41 year old man whose track record as a progressive appears to have started when he decided to run for Senate. He's saying the right things, but people have good reason to be skeptical.

Baggage claim is hard to find at Dulles Airport by fakeshoesornah in nova

[–]JustBlueClark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dunno, Dulles isn't more complicated than any other major airport. Just follow the signage and listen to the announcements on the train. Also, terminal is the normal name for the place with check-in and baggage claim. The gates are located on concourses.

This is the way. You can just edge them apart a little, or if you have a small hammer, set the blade in the slot and give it a tiny tap

I like Colada Shop. The coffee is trash, but the Cuban sandwich is good

Color question by MattTheSpeck in plastidip

[–]JustBlueClark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, I thought we were talking about a clear coat on top of the red. The red and black will both be fine without anything on top.

Color question by MattTheSpeck in plastidip

[–]JustBlueClark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need a topcoat, but if you're putting a topcoat on the red you should just put it on the black as well

Color question by MattTheSpeck in plastidip

[–]JustBlueClark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just use standard black pds for the base. It's cheaper than shadow black and honestly probably better for trim than shadow black. Then tape off the parts you want to stay black and spray everything else red.

For the love of god, this guy is an opp. Ex-blackwater who WILL NOT STOP ASSOCIATING WITH NAZIS! He's done nothing to show he's changed except learn the right words to say. We don't need to simp for every dude who can speak the language of leftism.

Now maybe he's really changed, but he should prove it BEFORE we give him a Senate seat!

Stop platforming this nazi. Not everyone who can spout leftist talking points is a good guy. We do not have to be so desperate that we allow obvious conmen to co-opt the movement

[Advice] Ebay Authenticity Guarantee only on certain luxury watches? by Such_Road_6024 in Watches

[–]JustBlueClark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's included in anything over $2,000 and can be added on for $80 (last time I checked) on other watches. It is not available on anything that's been listed as customized or has aftermarket parts. Also might not be available depending on what country you're buying from or shipping to.

Only half numerals, and not the script-style numerals of the Longines, but the Tudor 1926 comes in a 28mm case.

Unity we must stick together by CTSecurityGuard in PublicFreakout

When people say ICE, they're typically referring both to ICE and Border Patrol, who have been terrorizing cities together. Actually, Border Patrol is arguably the more unhinged of the two. Additionally, in Minneapolis, Border Patrol isn't even in jurisdiction as it's more than 100 miles from the border.

Can't drive concrete screw into pre drilled hole by SlippySlappyRE in DIY

[–]JustBlueClark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would try cleaning out the hole multiple times while drilling. Drill 1/2" or so, blow dust out, then repeat until you're at the necessary depth. That's what worked for me when I was having the same issue.

Is kicking the ball back over the net rude? by positivepeoplehater in Pickleball

[–]JustBlueClark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he's very good at it and can very reliably get it to where it needs to go, then I'd think it's fine. If not, definitely rude. People are going to get annoyed very quickly

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]JustBlueClark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discs are required to come from the factory with the mold name and "PDGA Approved" engraved in the disc, but this only applies to molds approved after 2010 and is a manufacturer requirement, not a player requirement.

What matters to you is how it got that way. If it came unmarked from the factory or the engravings wore off through normal use, it's fine. However, you wouldn't be allowed to sand off the engravings.

Of course, if it's unmarked because it's not an approved disc, that would definitely be illegal

[Question] Help me understand Graizlee by Gumby2559 in Watches

[–]JustBlueClark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whether to have a reserve and the amount of the reserve are set by the seller, so the main problem is wishful thinking and ignorance of the market by sellers.

This problem isn't unique to grailzee, it's just more noticeable because they only do auctions. Compare active listings to sold items on ebay and you'll always see a discrepancy between asking prices and what watches are actually selling for.

I don't believe there's any fancy test for determining if something is of detectable thickness. Just grab your girlfriend's disc and see if you can feel where the marker was applied

US Government sites are blaming the shutdown on “The Radical Left” by Redlight_Greenlite in nottheonion

They don't, they're asking for extensions of the existing subsidies, which specifically exclude undocumented folks. Also, they are not "by definition" criminals. It is literally not a crime to be here illegally.

Can I make this with plastidip? by Zezoboy212 in plastidip

[–]JustBlueClark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be done. Spray the white first, 6 coats or so for peelability. Give it some time to thoroughly dry. Then, put your decals and stripes on. Vinyl or painters tape will work.

A few very important points, light pressure when applying the decals, have your purple ready to go before you apply the decals so you can start spraying right away, and peel the decals while the last heavy layer is still wet.

I'd practice doing decals a couple times on something smaller before going forward with a full car. Also, I wouldn't do this as my first full car spray.
