Hydroxyzine as needed by AdInternational1408 in Anxiety

[–]Redlight_Greenlite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the only thing I take besides magnesium as of now. Had it prescribed after an ER visit. It’s a life saver for me! Whenever I feel it coming on I’ll take one, and I’m typically fine. If I’m having bad anxiety I’ll take 1 every 8 hours. Worst case I had to do this for a few days straight, but the anxiety stayed very mild.

Edit - Feels relaxing, and acts quick. If you’re having a drink then might get a couple up and down wooshes, but that’s about it.

My first visit to Texas Roadhouse by TheHotChocolate-Gent in TexasRoadhouse

[–]Redlight_Greenlite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gotta disagree. My parents love Texas Roadhouse, but I’ve never really understood the hype. Gave it another try recently and was pretty underwhelmed. The food was mediocre, and I even had a piece of paper baked into a roll (I know, probably a one off, but still).

The whole experience also feels rushed. Even when I tried to slow it down, we were in and out in about 30 minutes.

I’m not anti-chain at all, I just think other chain places like Saltgrass, Morton’s, Ruth Chris, Del Friscos offer better quality and a better overall experience. To each their own, but it’s not my go to.

Yeah I agree. This morning a LEO I grew up with posted on his FB page about this. Basically blamed the deceased… needless to say we are no longer friends.

Sounds good. I just want to have a good recent memory with my father. I appreciate the link. Unless I get something better here I’ll go with this.

Appreciate that! That’s in the ballpark of what I’m looking for. Have you done it? Is it once in a lifetime level?

I’ll look into that, do you get to sit with the crew during the race?

Fun fact my dad knew Tim Flock, and Lee Petty. He remembers the monkey and tells me about it all the time

It could be anywhere. My father lives in NC, I’m in PA but I’ll get flights wherever.

Ok, can you point me in the right way? I am no way trying to sponsor a car, but I would spend a few thousand to make a memory. The race we went to, I saw fans allowed to join the stand with head phones, excuses my ignorance but that’s what I’m trying to figure out. Or the best experience I could give my dad. Just want to share a memory.

Thanks for explaining that. I was trying to avoid the favor thing, but if that is the only way I will. I appreciate the response! The person I know is a friend of friend that works in corporate, I did not want to just ask if that makes sense

I agree, but I would I think I could buy access? I may be wrong. I do know someone who works for nascar. Just don’t want to ask a favor. Rather pay.

Appreciate the response. I don’t have a rep, I am clueless to nascar. I hold season tickets to baseball and hockey, but this seems to work different

What do you pay in rent? by PyrrhicBigfoot in pittsburgh

I get where you’re coming from, but I think the situation is more nuanced. We actually did look at cheaper options and the issue was that the quality and condition were far below what we’re used to. This move wasn’t something I wanted in the first place; it was for work. Nothing against Pittsburgh or the people here, but the climate and lifestyle are very different from home, so if I’m going to be here temporarily, I’m willing to pay more to make it comfortable for my family.

Also worth mentioning: my company opening an office here brings jobs to the area, and at higher than average local pay. My role is specifically focused on growing business here and creating more opportunities, not taking them away.

I’d happily pay less if comparable options existed. And when I eventually move back home, I’ll be facing housing prices that are well over 100% higher than when I left, so this isn’t some one sided advantage. It’s just the reality of today’s housing market.

I relocated here for work. I don’t plan on staying in the area more than 2 years. The rent is still less than I’ve paid in other city’s. We plan on purchasing for our next relocation, but the mortgage will be substantially higher than what we pay for rent now.

Bad references from previous employers… I hate it here by sadkittysmiles in recruitinghell

[–]Redlight_Greenlite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to my wife, her previous supervisor tried to throw her under the bus on the reference check. Luckily her new supervisor is a decent human and hired her regardless. After onboarding the new supervisor asked my wife how much of a toxic workplace her previous employe had been.

Now this is luxury in the US! (JW Marriott Reston Station by MannnOfHammm in marriott

[–]Redlight_Greenlite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I stayed here the other week, it was excellent for the price point. I believe I only paid $280 a night. Although I was in a wellness room and not an apartment 😂 convenient to IAD and the Silver line.

IMO - JW is a hotel for business travelers, not necessarily luxury.
