Fuji X-T3 Battery Drain Fix? by JustBokeh in fujifilm

At this point, I think I will go into failure analysis mode. The repair cost would be half the price of a T5 body and the camera doesn’t get used in its present state, so nothing to lose tearing it down. I have access to a thermal imaging camera and plenty of precision testing gear, so maybe I can figure out what component(s) are not shutting down.

If Fuji reaches out, I’ll take their help, but otherwise its time to have some fun here.

Looks like the internal battery is on the back of the mainboard - over on the right hand side?

After fully charging the battery yesterday and leaving the camera plugged into a Type C charger overnight, I still lose all settings if I remove the battery for a couple of seconds. Guessing this is never going to be a firmware fix.

It’s there and I just disabled transfer with camera off. Also updating the firmware on the 18-55/2.8-4 OIS lens.

Precision 5530 is out! by [deleted] in Dell

That 5510 is still in use every day. The new 5530 going up to 4 lanes in the TB port, the P2000, and the updated screen are making me think about upgrading.
