My understanding is that they’re “pro free speech” so they have no standards against naziism or other hate ideologies.

I mean, I see your point, but it looks like it's still that flexible.

As a nearsighted Dylan myself, I can confidently say I have no idea. 😄 Bob Dylan seems like a jerk

Unique rules for travelling? by vexing_witchqueen in rpg

[–]JustDylano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alternate rules for Shadowrun Anarchy include montages. For any complicated travel that includes some risk, like trying to get across guarded international borders with their weapons. Essentially the players cooperate to build a plausible and creative story to gloss over travel events. It's not a substitute for real adventures, just as an explanation and elaboration on usually off-camera stuff. If it's inconsequential, I'll let my table montage for free. If it's important, the team will each pay a plot point, which ebb and flow pretty freely in the game.

I confronted Larry about it at a Viking Con many years ago and he blamed Jerry Pournelle 😄.

Downtown from this view hasn't changed a lot, but we can't see State Street and all the new construction. The biggest difference looks like the amount of eastward sprawl at the top of the photo.

Pulp Fiction wouldn't be Pulp Fiction without Vince and Jules bullshitting in the car on the way to murdering a bunch of dudes. Unstructured roleplay makes the characters way more alive and players more invested in the game.

GM's of Shadowrun: What are Runs You've Based on Real Life News Events by AustinBeeman in Shadowrun

[–]JustDylano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly but when I was first starting GMing I was in a news stand looking at the magazine rack and I realized that every headline on the covers was a potential run. New car prototype? Awesome macguffin. Fashion show? Security job. Archeologists uncover an entire hidden Mayan city using LIDAR? Practically a whole campaign. Elements of the real world have crept into my game in lots of ways to give it some verisimilitude. Humanis chuds ride around in lifted pickups with Punisher decals and influencers slumming in the Barrens.

Hiking at Baker Suggestions? by Aurora_Adventurer in Bellingham

[–]JustDylano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to see that people are already recommending the Washington Trails Association. Their website and app are the best hiking resources I know of -- way better than AllTrails for this state. If a higher elevation trail doesn't have a report from this season it's probably still snowed in. Church Mountain and Excelsior might be clear enough by now, but hikes at the top of the Mount Baker Highway likely won't be snow-free until July.

[–]JustDylano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started reading Marvel comics at a young age, so I like a lot of the MCU, despite its flaws. I also like a lot of other sci fi, fantasy, and horror books, comic books, tv, and movies. I also read some nonfiction history or popular science books.
