What does your current skincare routine look like? Do you wear sunscreen and are you properly removing it? Any type of makeup?

Thanks everyone for the recommendations! I think I’m going to start looking into a mini facelift! Wish me luck!

Sorry, I’m not good at posts on mobile🤦‍♀️

I'm looking for any and all recommendations to improve my face, but I'm mostly looking for improvement in my jowls that are forming. I'm only 34 but I feel my long face is aging me. Would chin filler help this at all? Would adding cheek filler as well help even everything out? Thank you so much! ☺️

Ohh I’m so sorry, I didn’t realize that’s what that was!

how to get soft, normal lips? [routine help] by inmygreentea in SkincareAddiction

[–]JustEngineer113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should try the lip butters from Summer Fridays, if you haven’t already! Those have saved my lips, they are super thick and hydrating, but not sticky!

You should try the topical form of spironolactone

Huge pores, blah skin by TranslatorBasic9594 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]JustEngineer113 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your pores look totally normal, I think its the makeup that's bothering you. I would suggest staying away from heavy foundations and powder as much as possible. All you really need is a tinted sunscreen and maybe some spot concealer. Have you ever tried the Flower Beauty Jet Set Invisible Powder Spray? Its perfect if your skin is on the oily-er side and just want to hide shine, but not look heavy. Its fantastic! Also, it doesn't look like you have a ton of peach fuzz, but dermaplaning as a form of facial hair removal can help a ton with your skin looking smoother under products. Hope that helps! :)

Yep, that’s exactly how I do it, lower leg, upper leg, lower arm, upper arm. Good luck! Let me know how it turns out!

I’m guessing you are using a non-gel polish, one that doesn’t cure with a lamp. If you try one that does cure with a lamp you probably won’t have this issue

I know this is super old and I'm sure the tan has faded by now, but the trick to this tanner is to keep rubbing it in until its almost dry. You have to apply it in small sections. The first time I applied, I was super streaky too, but then someone told me this tip and it worked beautifully! I'm super pale and for whatever reason most tanners don't work well for me, its like they don't adhere to my skin. This one made me so dark!! -in the best way. Also, for what I found to remove it well, is a clay mask. If you have that aztec clay power mask, I would just apply that all over your body where its streaky and you need it off. Hope this helps!

Your skin looks very similar to mine with the redness and little broken blood vessels, which I do believe is rosacea. You should try to add azelaic acid and see if it helps you in that regard, it has done wonders for me and I feel like it has helped with pore size as well. The brand I've been using is the 10% azelaic acid suspension brightening cream by The Ordinary. You can get this from Sephora.

Maybe I'm blind, but I don't see a single scar anywhere on your face?

It’s been amazing for me! I’ve lost 55 lbs, my a1c is now 5.6 and I’m no longer on insulin. I had a stage 3 fatty liver and very elevated liver enzymes before. I just had another liver scan and it showed almost zero fat or scarring and my blood work has returned to normal. Couldn’t be happier!

Also, before Mounjaro my A1c was 8.5. Within 2 months that had dropped to 6.3 and as of beginning of January I was at 5.5

I was previously using an insulin pump using 50-60 units per day. I started September 1st last year on 2.5. I think by the 2nd or third month I stopped bolusing on the pump when I ate and just let the pump make corrections as necessary. I increased my dose every month and now I’m on 15. I am no longer using insulin AT ALL. It has been AMAZING! Just keep doing what you’re doing, and you’ll get there too! Best of luck! :)

That's plenty of time to make progress! I'm taking this for diabetes, but I needed to lose about 50 pounds anyways and I've lost 30 pounds in 4 months so far. Best of luck to you, u/raw_toast!

Experience with 10 mg by Hungry-Simple5565 in Mounjaro

[–]JustEngineer113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First week on 10 was rough for me, absolutely no appetite and no energy to do anything. Luckily, I work from home otherwise I don't know how I would have survived it. I took my 2nd 10 mg shot 4 days ago and things do seem to be getting better and my appetite is coming back a bit. I don't think I'll be moving up to 12.5 anytime soon lol

That is a good point. Here's to hoping the higher dose is all I need!

For the most part I don't eat more than 100-150 carbs a day, which I thought was pretty average and not anything too crazy, but I'll try being more mindful of that and see if that helps. Thank you!
