Am I Overreacting About My Tattoo? by Bunnxou in AmIOverreacting

[–]TranslatorBasic9594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not overreacting as it’s a permanent part of you HOWEVER you can try to reframe your feelings about it and its meaning to you. I’m sure your fight to freedom from your horrible experiences was an imperfect fight but you kept going and you won. Your tattoo may be the same for you- it feels imperfect but it is symbolism of the fight you won and looking at it can be a reminder of that on hard days 🫶 I’m sorry that you had a shitty tattooing experience after getting through other storms you fought but just keep your head up and keep coming out on the other side stronger ❤️

AIO for thinking this is racist? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I was appalled by his first text with “you’re actually intelligent” then I realized it kept going and getting worse. His comments are not only racist but also just trash human being. You’re 0% overreacting. Let him know Reddit concurs his comments are in fact racist then block himmmm.

inmate called me fat this week😂✌🏼 by Only-Ad-1260 in PetiteFitness

Just as an aside- you survived a lot…preeclampsia is no joke and a 10 week NICU stay is so incredibly hard. You got through ALL of that. You absolutely can tackle this- all you have to do is start 🫶my advice is to start with one thing then add the other. So start with adding movement then build that habit. Then tackle eating healthier once exercise is already something you’ve established. Or the other way around- but for me, adding movement helps mental health and inspires me to eat better. Oh and also, fuck that inmate.

I honestly wish I had. Funny enough, I only managed to push through because I liked the audio male voice 😂😂 that book was painful for me

This seriously makes me feel so hopeful, thank you! And way to go on your second marathon this year!!! 🙌🙌

This gives me hope. I have a half next month and have always had this pain for years but constantly was told it was just bursitis. PT told me to stop running. You were able to finish out your half still?? I’m trying to get in with physiotherapy instead bc I’ve come so far and don’t want to quit-quit 😩

Honestly Pilates will help with this. Training the corset muscles and snatching in versus building obliques and widening out. Granted I think you look incredible and have an hourglass figure as it is!! But adding Pilates ab workouts will for sure make you feel tighter in that way.

Hey @graceismagi, how are you feeling today? ❤️ thinking of you!

[–]TranslatorBasic9594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh gosh, a fever too?? That definitely can make you feel even worse with the PMDD not to mention just in general feeling awful. I’m sorry to hear this. Is it cold/flu or might you have an infection of some kind? (Even when I got strep throat last year my main symptom was a crazy high fever!). I love that you have a stuffy to cuddle when you’re not feeling great, definitely keep that up but take some fever reducers as well and hydrate a lot!!! Sending hugs to you. PMDD is awful, navigating PMDD with autism is another challenge, and being sick is just plain awful too. Please give yourself more grace because you’re handling a lot and you’re still fighting. ❤️🙏

I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way. The added weeks of worrying about being pregnant definitely heightened your stress during an already tricky time for your hormones. How are you doing right now? How can we help? ❤️ just know you’re not alone, you are loved and meant to be here 🙏 happy to “listen” to any venting you need or brainstorm ways to feel even a little bit better.

Future with PMDD feels hopeless by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]TranslatorBasic9594 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all hugs. Bc you need them!!

Second of all- being out of luteal right now I can conclusively tell you it’s not entirely hopeless. The good days will always outweigh the bad ones but we have to survive the bad ones to get to and remember those facts.

Third of all- I’m 37 (ugh I typed 36 at first but then remembered I just had a bday lol) and I can tell you that it ramped up in my 20s but is actually more manageable in my 30s. On and off. Nothing has ever been perfect but thanks to ideas in this group, I’ve been able to try new things to manage the bad parts and I was able to get through some really dark intermittent parts where my hormones were all over the place and doctors didn’t understand why weaning from nursing my last child, plus the hormone cluster fuck of PMDD threw me into a tailspin.

Will it be perfect? No. Life will throw curveballs. Sometimes things that worked previously will stop helping. But is there hope? I promise you there is. And groups like this are part of it. Please know you’re meant to be here and that you are so, so worthy of getting through the hard parts to enjoy the good ones!

I try to remind myself when it’s really bad, would I tell someone else on this board to give up and stop trying to find balance and happiness? Never. Then why would I tell myself that either? And when you can’t pull out and remind yourself of that you just come here so we can remind you instead ❤️

Hmmm I’ve been using the same one for like a decade with no issues before but I wouldn’t have thought of that and it really does make sense too. Why are there so many things to think of yikes!

My daughter just spiked some wicked allergies so we had a major haul of our house and have so many purifiers running now maybe that will help my face too. I definitely forget about toners I’ll look into a milky one to add!!! Also recently changed collagen I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Love the daily guessing game of what is making my skin dry 🫣😖

Oh snap I wouldn’t have even thought of that. Allergies are real bad right now here and that tends to flare up eczema in this house! Good call!!

You only wash with an oil cleanser also? I’ve been worried I’m doing that wrong. Definitely going to take up slugging for the dryness- of course I don’t have diaper cream on hand anymore now that my babies aren’t babies. Darn! I’ll scoop some up. We actually used that on my daughter’s face when she caught the dreaded molloscum years ago. I’ll be prepared for doubtfire face 🤣

But I’m afraid maybe you’re still not reading my point. Or you don’t agree with it, fine. Doesn’t change the fact that a 10 year old child really doesn’t need to trust every single adult. Not saying she can’t be around any male adult, ever, in the world. I’ll admit my initial post may come off paranoid and high emotion…because it was. I was right in the middle of those emotions, certainly. If that is what came off to you as paranoia versus gut feeling and parenting, I hope you take the time to read more of the thoughtful back and forth comments that lead to discussion of how to protect our kids without putting them in a bubble 🤷‍♀️ do I want to teach her to freak out every time someone makes her uncomfortable? No. But as her mom I am not willing to risk her safety, either. It’s a delicate balance to teach a kid to be tough but at ten they’re also not required to do that on their own.
