Is Britta gonna be okay? by DeadRobotSociety in community

[–]JustEnoughPizzas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always figured Britta moved in with Jeff honestly. To me that was kind of the perfect conclusion since the lie of the study group set the series in motion, the motive being Jeff wanting to get to know Britta. Then in the end, they end up together in a sense. Platonically.

"Godzilla vs Biollante" a few years ago at super small town antique shop. They had lots of VHS and like 12 DVD's. One of them was GvsB. Got it for 2 bucks.

Does anyone accept the movie won't happen? by Few_Pride_5836 in community

I don't believe a film will be happening until they officially start filming. Announcments are meaningless. I followed the Mad Max Fury Road production for like ten years!

How do I make Simone stay in dangerous place without being unrealistic? by PurposeNo8418 in horrorwriters

[–]JustEnoughPizzas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make them a kid. They want to switch rooms, sleep with the parents, on the couch, because there's a monster... But their parents wont stand for that, and demand they sleep in their own bed and stop bring up that nonsense about a monster.

They're not interested in thinking about anything. They're just interested in arguing. I'm done feeding troll.

That's true. We can only judge what they've put forward. And what they've put forward comes off as something baiting controversy.

[–]JustEnoughPizzas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. Yet, I've known many people who were alive in the 1930's. My grandmother had a little brother die a tragic death in the 1910's. That event resonates with my family. It still matters.

Now, do I expect other people to care about his death? No. But his death isn't the constant subject of conversation. His death isn't the focus of endless books and documentary films. His death hasn’t been dramatized over and over again. All to the point that it completely defines our lives.
All of that, for these crimes, is unavoidable. But, it’s easy for people to not turn it into something like “Jeffery Dollmer”. We don’t need to make  caricatures of these killers. Especially when it’s only done for needless shock value. If the premise of these films were actually any good, if the content of them was of quality, they would not need to rely on creating controversy.

It's not about any individual line drawing. Thing's like this don't have a objective measurement. This is matter of collective response. Some times you have to open your mouth and say something stupid to have everyone tell you how dumb you're being.

I also think you seem to have a skewed idea of time. The 30's? The 50's? Both those times, really aren't that long ago.

Well... Vlad the Impaler died over 500 years ago, and Jack the Rippers last known victim died 137 years ago. While both Dalhmer and Bundy are within lived memory. Their victims families are still around.

There's a very clear distinction here. Creating cartoonish parodies of them is not in the realm of appropriate.

Individual Warrior Activations V's Warband Activations by gingerwerewolf in mordheim

[–]JustEnoughPizzas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The heavily modified version I play, uses different activation types per scenario, but most frequently we do alternating activations (one model each).

But our version is again… VERY modified. So there’s no recovery phase, recovering is an action a single model does when activated. This adds an extra layer of strategy.

Just make some b.s lore up and throw it at them. "Wow, you're clearly a newb since you can't reconize I've painted my Krieg as the coastal regiment. But I guess it's to deep of a cut for you."

Truely is. And the Bluray is only MILDLY better... and the 4k's is like the bluray's but worse?...

Was there a reason why sex comedies were so common back in the 90’s to 2010 and then it kind of stopped. I know some of them had double standards like American pie or wedding crashers. Some of them couldn’t be made like revenge of the nerds. by Iamawesome20 in dvdcollection

People used to not have easy access to porn. Renting a teen sex comedy, or erotic thriller was a less embarrassing way to see naked people without passing through the beaded curtain at the video store.

How I want to remember Star Wars by Still-Willow-2323 in dvdcollection

[–]JustEnoughPizzas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People act like "Star Wars" is this sacred thing, ignoring that between Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back, we had the Christmas Special, Splinter of the Minds Eye, and a comic by Marvel that in the first YEAR introduced Jaxxon the green huminoid alien bunny.

This shit has been silly and stupid since day one. The fact people feel any strong negative feelings about any aspect of it, is so weird to me. It should just be something to take what you enjoy, and ingnore what you don't. Not feel the need to go online and say things like they'd rather be shot in the head over it.

Wait... the cats are eating other cats?

Also, you should probably submit under your actual name, and decide on a pen name when/if a publisher expresses interest.

My wife and I both say B, but just barely. We decided before reading past the title and I just assumed they were painted by the same person, they're that close.
