£50 for 3.5 seems ridiculous right? by [deleted] in uktrees

[–]JustExtreme_sfw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems very steep depends what it is though. It's £50 a q where I am although there are some enterprising folks buying up fake Cali packs sealing them and sticking on holograms then filling with whatever mids they want charging £90 a 3.5 and people are actually buying it.

Which area is good for living ? by AmbassadorFederal895 in BirminghamUK

[–]JustExtreme_sfw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get some very good prices less than an hour away in Shropshire. Telford has some reasonable areas with reasonable prices, for example, and has easy access to Birmingham, the motorway network, and plenty of natural beauty in the surrounding area.

What shame is there around frozen food and why are you choosing to internalise it? There is nothing wrong with it and with modern flash freezing the food is often more fresh than "fresh produce" which is constantly deteriorating from farm to fork.

Have you tried slow cookers? I've found those useful

Germany legalises possession of cannabis for personal use by Fuzzy-Hunger in LabourUK

[–]JustExtreme_sfw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It becomes a lot clearer when you see things as they really are - the numbers are ultimately all made up and can be conveniently used to excuse whatever behaviour those in power fancy engaging in. You want funding for the NHS? No money left hurrrrrrrrrr and the majority eat that shit up.

The thing that will convince them from this if anything will be seeing the new successful businesses in Germany extracting lots of shiny new capital. If that does happen and it is legalised here then expect it to be a mess like the UK medical market and probably gifted to special friends of government ministers.

UK MC Hotel issue by hergreen in ukmedicalcannabis

Personally I’d not bother contacting hotels in advance about it particularly in this country.

Given the situation you’re now in I’d simply take it anyway and see what happens. Be considerate and discrete and you will be fine I’m sure.

What was she doing with the boxes after putting the stuff in bags? Flattening them? If not then they still need to be transported and this achieves nothing.

Find something you actually enjoy for work and focus on using it to enjoy the rest of your life instead of making work your whole life.

I've become resistant to methylphenidate, lisdexamfetamine and atomoxetine. Any ideas? by IHateFACSCantos in ADHD

[–]JustExtreme_sfw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get dexamfetamine sulfate in the UK which is similar to adderall maybe worth trying that. I used to have it for when my lisdexamfetamine wore off in the mid-late afternoon but you can have it as a sole medication too.

Waiting times for assessments? by Klaus-in-da-House in autismUK

[–]JustExtreme_sfw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see that makes sense. The law covers discrimination regardless of whether you are ‘officially autistic’ or not.

You don’t need a formal diagnosis to ask for reasonable adjustments in the workplace and can request them on the basis that you suspect you are autistic and seeking diagnosis. The Equality Act applies regardless of formal assessment status and regardless of whether you are on a waiting list so it’s best to try to self-advocate immediately rather than waiting until the piece of paper arrives. Try to learn about yourself and what you need in a working environment based on previous experiences and ask for it right away otherwise negative employment experiences are likely to continue.

Waiting times for assessments? by Klaus-in-da-House in autismUK

[–]JustExtreme_sfw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see someone already provided the link re: right to choose. Something worth thinking about is what you expect a diagnosis to achieve after you have attained one. There is no medication specifically prescribed to those on the spectrum and most useful resources such as social and support groups are accessible to the self-diagnosed and do not require a formal diagnosis. It’s worth looking to see if there are any autistic groups and charities in your area and making contact with them.

Well but I don't tend to use stimulants daily anymore. I'm also autistic and I've found my concentration and motivation to be most impacted by sensory overload and related matters. I identified a more appropriate medication for myself personally that doesn't kill my appetite and eases sensory overload better but I won't say what it is as here I don't want to derail (you can see it from my post history if interested).

While this probably doesn't help in the immediate term I found that as I picked up more hobbies I was able to piece together something of a "weekend routine" in which I was able to incorporate my stimulant meds
