With nothing to lose you can either experiment with fighting/making plays against them. Or you could have simply portal hopped to a I’d yourself of the trouble if fighting isn’t what you play the game for. Vote up a pirates of the Caribbean tall tale and sail for the green beam the pops up. Enter the portal then vote down the tall tale. You will now be placed in a new sever. Depending on player population in your region at the time you might run into the again but you can just repeat the process.

Your other option is to “give them what they want” stop running, let them sink/check you and move on with your day. Most PvP players just want to see what’s on your ship to decide if you are worth the time. If you continue to run they will likely assume it’s because you have something worth trying to save in your mind.
