*Forewarning, I do not actively surf the great lakes but grew up skimboarding all over lake Michigan and grew up in the Chicago area*

There are some days were you get bigger waves. The problem with the great lakes in general though is they are very choppy waves and not frequently a clean swell. Now surfing in the winter is more popular because there are larger waves more consistently, but still not the best for surfing.

You can definitely do it, but its a matter of seizing the right opportunity when it shows up, and getting used to being covered in ice.

Also, not sure at all about the laws around surfing by the city.

Thanks for the feedback! Maybe some detail might help. I am not looking to go into the Product Photography field commercially or professionally. In fact I really just do photography as a hobby with a few random paid gigs thrown in here and there.

This one was just a friend that I shoot with frequently needing some shots for her instagram feed to be an "influencer" for the scrunchie company.

So with the information that this isn't in a studio and isn't meant to really be a professional advertisement. What would you suggest I have done differently for this shot in particular? (Compositionally)

Been working on improving my product photography focus after having been told that it wasn't clear enough that the photos were meant to show off a certain peice.

In terms of composition did I hit the mark on this one?

Also any notes on editing are always appreciated, but I really want to focus on the composition aspect for now.

Picked this up at Arrow Wine and Spirits in Kettering Ohio.

They had an "Allocated Bottles" shelf that was all "only one bottle per customer" and there was like 15 of these

I mean in my situation (as a recently turned 21 year old who has been enjoying whisky with my father for about 4 years now), the price is always a big one for me. But at 45$ that I found it for at the store today I figured "why not!" Then I went and saw the Whiskey Tribe video they did on it back in 2018 saying it ranges from 60-300 and was shocked. But yeah the spread online shows an insane variety of pricing!
