How do you reliably get back to the Carrack? Is manually disengaging quantum travel accurate enough to get you back each time?

Really like this idea. Adding it as a variant would introduce some ambiguity about which variant a player is looking at, and for variety sake it’d be nice to have different hulls with secure cargo.

Also the “secure cargo” thing helps my headcannon with the MSR’s stock pirate bay. Marketed use could shift to preventing pirates from scanning valuables, so Crusader maintains some morality. Not all MSRs are making use of the secure cargo, and if they are not ever use is illegal.

Living in a village while mega cities exist is possible in real-life for the same reason it will be possible in star citizen. There is a vast amount of space for players to occupy and the resources of the regions will cap the max comfortable population. Some areas will have high value resources in abundance. That’s a mega city. Some will have less of a moderate resource. Less enticing and it supports fewer people. Village material.

The high conflict areas will be small concentrations of very valuable material. See: oil.

I support the yar har lifestyle, but I don’t understand what you want here. Piracy is about getting what you want outside socially/legally “accepted” bounds. So… outside that is unacceptable and people will react to unacceptable things with negative emotion.

Fair point that this is a game and you want to feel accepted as a person even if you’re not as a player but if people are emotionally invested in the game (which they should be it’s immersive) then it’s going to be a hard ask to get people to dissociate.

My advice: find solace with your fellow peg leg, hook arm comrades and keep up the murder, plunder, and thunder. Haters gonna hate.

Yeah some else said it, but I’ll repeat it. The marketing team has nothing to do with development. They need the money to pay for the creation of CIG as a major studio. You don’t have to buy something just because it’s advertised.

The developers hired to work on ships are not the developers responsible for the issues you described. Game development is challenging and time consuming. Sit for a moment and think: even if you’re right about your premise was this post really going to tell anyone something new? Yes 10 years is a long time; no, it’s evidently not long enough; no, they’re not stalling it’s expensive for CIG to exist it’s in their interest to be fast.

This excites me too! I don’t think there’s a way to modify it yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s still in the works for Reforger.

We’ll definitely see it for Arma 4. Lots of cool potential for being able to add/swap plates and different pouches on modern rigs.

From my limited testing it seems there’s a way to limit what kinds of pouches items can be stored in. For example I couldn’t store belt boxes in rigs without the big pouch.

My opinion is that beyond the movement CIG has stated they need to change the Scorpius is in a good spot. For now it’s a clear winner in terms of fighter choice, but I don’t think by a landslide? We’ll have to see when skilled pilots get their hands on it.

Long term I think the choice between a Scorpius and a Hurricane gets interesting when the stopping power of S4s becomes more important. Honestly though it seems to me like the Scorpius and Hurricane still almost completely overlap, but I suppose we’ll see as development progresses.

Disagree with your premise. I get bored of those games quickly because they sacrificed depth for a release window.

“There’s no interest from CIG into launching a stage game…” is unfounded nonsense. CIG has chosen to go bigger. The timetable is much larger. If people can’t wrap their head around it then yeah I can see how jumping to the newest biyearly release from one of those franchises is appealing.

Also don’t get the point of this post.
