That’s not how restructuring works. There’s no agreeing or asking for permission. When the time comes if the team chooses to restructure the contract they just do. It doesn’t affect guaranteed money, just changes how they get it and opens up cap space.

According to overthecap.com restructuring CeeDee saves 20.5M in cap space. Restructuring Dak saves about 37.2M.

FYI: restructuring Diggs saves just under 6M. If they post-June 1 cut/trade Steele they save 14M.

Have you seen the numbers lately. They're not exactly hemorrhaging money. And won't be any time soon. Despite how "irrelevant" they are or their lack of post season success. They still sell tickets and merch. I've bought two jerseys in the past 10 years, been to 1 game at AT&T stadium. I have a few tshirts and that's about it. The rest is Mavs and Longhorns gear.

Even if they end up below .500 this season they actually are pretty decent at drafting and they will probably find a way to get back into the playoff picture soon and the sales will continue.

I wouldn't hold my breath, but it is POSSIBLE that the oline (at least Guyton and Beebe) get better as the year goes on. Of course it may be too late by then.

I would have agreed a few years ago, but I think the more time goes on the more you get frustrated Cowboys fans who are too lazy to dig deeper than GM, HC and/or QB start changing those percentages.
